Debating if this is right for me

I was sleeved on June 21st, I am doing really good I was shocked at how easy the surgery was. I went to Loyola hospital, Dr. Chand. He was awesome, I had surgery on the 21st and was out of there on the 22nd. Since I've experienced some heavy nausea twice but did well until Sunday, the afternoon I got dizzy and wasn't feeling well so I took some zofran and realized I hadn't drank any protein at all, all day long. I drank a shake but it was a good few hours before I felt better. The incisions are so small that we tend to feel better and forget easily how our stomach is completely cut out about 75 to 80% so if you feel better fast just remember to take it easy. Surgery done June 21st.

I have had surgery before and had a lot of gas pain , I was sleeved Wednesday at noon, prepared for gas pain so I bought a couple boxes of gas pain strips and haven't even had to open them. I was on pain meds in the hospital for the first day. I was up walking around the nurses section same night but slowly. Second day had one pill in the morning. I was discharged on Thursday by my own request because I had very little pain. Sunday nite I wasn't feeling too good so I took some zofran nausea sublingual tabs to stop some nausea, realizing I had forgotten my protein shakes so I drank one slowly, I felt a lot better in a couple hours. Its now Monday and I am still a little dizzy, so I am drinking my shake early. The marks on my stomach from surgery are so small and not much discomfort at all. I have five tiny puncture incision's and I have steristrips covering them, no stitches at all. If I had to do this five times just to get the results I want I would do it over and over. I have already lost about 16 lbs. I know its because I'm only drinking protein shakes but I'm NOT feeling hungry, the first day I woke up at home I thought I was really hungry so I put aside my wanting to eat eggs and toast I ate SF Jello. I was stuffed, immediately not hungry and sticking to my diet. I can't predict what will happen in your surgery experience but mine has been minimal and I'm so happy I did this. I feel my energy coming back but I over did it Sunday and that's why I got nausea because I forgot my protein intake. No matter how good you feel you have to take it easy because your biggest wound is in your stomach and you can't see that just take it slow and you'll do great. Suggestions/tips

I used premiere protein shakes before surgery and Atkins shakes for my prop diet, I would put nutmeg and cinnamon in the vanilla shake with a little splenda, tastes just like eggnog. I got some baby foods like sweet potatoes, a little peaches but most of all we just need to use these until we can eat regular foods and then we just need to always remember protein. You can purchase "six star protein powder unflavored you can put into yogurt, drinks they sell it at Wal- mart. Its also good in SF, FF, Pudding. Sent from my N9519 using BariatricPal mobile app

    Anyone in Texas?

Your Dr will decide what surgery you should get because I take medicine for bipolar so I can't have the bypass because it won't let my stomach absorb the medicines I need. Sent from my N9519 using BariatricPal mobile app
