It's comforting to know I am not the only one with this hilarious syndrome. Did'n't go too crazy so far today. But I did make a 2 scoop (butter pecan) sundae with graham crakers and caramel sauce. A part of me wants to just say to heck with it and pig out like there's no tomorrow, and the other part of me (about 20% hehe) wants to eat right and in smaller portions to prepare for the band. BUT then, you know what, that's why I am getting the band in the first place. I CAN'T do the right thing when it comes to food. I've been trying all of my adult life. :regular_smile: As crazy as it sounds, I can't wait to go on the liquid diet. :::frown::: Thanks for letting me share. Let's use this for all food-related, bingeful, last supper-ish posts. :biggrin:

Shelly - I am so jealous of your ability to save, save, save! That is something I struggle with! I am a shopper! But I have been cutting back on giving Lane Bryant and Torrid my money, since I will be out of these 20's and into "regular" sizes within the next year. I'm having fun going through my closet finding things that I didn't know exist. Not to mention my daughter's 5th birthday is coming up soon and her wish list is a page long! I am going to make a concious effort to save more, my husband would be proud! :thumbup: And the bee tatoo sounds very cute! I always wanted something on my foot. And teaching the kindergarden class sounds like it will be a challenge! At least it will keep you on your toes. Krysten, the Hello Kitty tattoo sounds adorable!! I love this board too. I am becoming obsessed with coming on here reading! My girlfriend who got the band 3 years ago advised me to keep this support system. In "real life" it's hard to find people who can relater or even understand the concept of the band and why it is needed! I consider myself lucky to have found a FULL FORUM of Lap Bandsters! Thank you for posting this! I know that I will have to work toward my weight loss goals and that the band isn't a magic wand. It is a tool to assist in my efforts to lose weight and get healthy. I have to start telling myself this now, even though my suregery isn't until May 19th.... Now if I can just get out of this "Last Supper Syndrome"! :huh2:

Welcome Sandy! Krysten, I have the weirdest band dreams too!! I guess it's just anxiety! I am just ready to be banded already!!! I have started telling people at work. I just can't keep it in anymore! It's all I think about. I got the letter from my insurance company in the mail with the written approval, it all seems so real now! I think we are all so lucky to have this opportunity! Now if I can just get out of this "last supper syndrome" Man, I can not stop! My suregeon hasn't mentioned any pre-op diets or anything, BUT I have all my pre-admission testing on the 30th - I'm sure they will probably put me on something then! :confused2:

Congratulations! I was approved not so long ago too! Feels great, doesn't it? :thumbup: Come on over to the May 2008 board! It's an awesome place to share the journey with fellow May Bandsters! We can all share our experiences together!

I am scheduled for May 19th and plan to take 8 days off, returning after the Memorial Day holiday. I am looking forward to relaxing at home after the surgery. I have had a C-Section and agree that the sooner you get up and moving the better...but I plan to enjoy the quiet time away from work! :thumbup: Plus, I would much rather deal with the gas pains at home, than at work.

I want to go one hour without thinking what my next meal/snack/treat is going to be! I want to be able to wear a size 10 $300 designer jeans, a cute t-shirt and a pair of HOT sandals. I want to have the energy to clean my house without taking 15 breaks. The list really goes on and on

through the weekend sounds great! They are all great, so which ever one we pick will be fabulous!

Hi everyone! My name is Lexy, I'm 28 from PA. My surgery is scheduled with Dr. Pupkova at Barix Clinics in Langhorne. This journey has had it's ups and downs with my insurance denying my first claim. I held on and never gave up and am finally approved and scheduled. :cursing: I am happily married and have 2 wonderful children, ages 8 and 5. I am an administrator at a Fortune 500 Company - I love what I do, but enjoy being a mom and wife above all! I currently have a BMI of 44. I am 5'7 and weigh 280-something. :biggrin: I have been overweight all of my life, but OBESE since after giving birth to my son 8 years ago. I am ready to finally shed this weight and get my health under control. I have high blood pressure with a family history of heart disease and diabetes. I refuse to start my 30's OBESE and out of control with my weight and eating. I am sick of being complimented with, "You have a pretty face." I am ready to have the HOT BODY to go with it! This was a tough decision to make, but after numerous attempts at losing the weight on my own and failing, I knew I had to do something. I have a wonderful support system, one of whom is a close friend who has had the Lap Band. She has done amazingly well and has lost over 100lbs! She was my inspriation and I know with the experience that she has and is willing to share with me, I will be successful. I look forward to getting to know the May Bandsters and beginning our journey of weightloss and a healthier life together! :tongue2:

Every morning getting ready for work, I would ask myself - "Is today the day?" and today was the day!!!! I got the call from my surgeon's office to inform me of the approval and to schedule the surgery. I was so excited I was shaking! There was a communication mishap with the decision for me to get the Lap Band and NOT the Gastric Bypass...I quickly straightened it out. My surgeon called me tonight to confirm ONCE AGAIN that I would like the Lap Band. YES, YES, YES! I am 1000% sure that I want the Lap Band and can't wait to start my post-op journey! Thanks for listening, I just had to share! :thumbup:
