What's normal eating post surgery ??
We had to pay 300 dollars one time fee for lifetime support. So if we ever need to go back to them for nutrition advice and help it is always there, and support groups are included in there. I live 2 and a half hours away so the support group part really does me no good, unless I could go early in the day.

It may be gas pains from when you had the surgery, All everyone has said is walk it off. Do a few laps around the hospital and see if that helps you any. Also ask your nurse for a heating pad. I heard that helps too. My surgery is next Thursday on the 30th. Only thing I am worried about is the gas pain afterwards.

Busying your mind - quieting head hunger
I have not had surgery yet, Mine is Nov 30th....so I cant speak from a place where someone has already had surgery but I can speak from the point of view from the pre op. I personally think it all comes down to self discipline. You don't NEED to snack between or eat the jolly ranchers, you WANT to do it so you do it and instead of grabbing the candy, grab something healthier. I am sure everyone goes through this pre-op, but after surgery it is up to you to use your new tool to your advantage and follow the guidelines to make sure you lose the weight. At the end of the day, we are not going through all of this and taking all this time to slip back into old habits, which I understand can happen...but you are still fresh, so you still have time to correct this behavior. Stop sabotaging yourself, and get back on track. http://www.obesityhelp.com/articles/four-ways-to-overcome-head-hunger

never made it to goal with some regain.
As the post said above, I would look into a nutritionist. When I was in the early stages of going for my surgery, I had to pay 300 dollars for lifetime support if I need it, I am not sure if that is offered everywhere. It is still not to late to reel yourself back in! Count your calories and food and look into leslie sansone! Her exercises are on youtube and I have been using them since I started this and I am down almost 100 on my own before surgery. You just have to stay dedicated! I know it is hard, but exercise at night when the kiddos are in bed if you have to!

Condolences to Her and her family- Dizziness and Period
I manage my heavy flow and cramps with boiling water, and add cinnamon and a few drops of honey for taste. Cinnamon has properties in it to shrink the blood vessels and slow up the bleeding. It works for me all the time...or drink Organic apple cider vinegar with the mother in some room temp water about 2-3 times a day while I am on my period. The cinnamon may be quicker to help you. My mother also has heavy bleeding and I have her on this too and it helps her. You may also want to talk to you doc about checking your for anemia...Losing all the blood..you need to get on some iron to build your blood count.- Dizziness and Period
I have a history of heavy periods and dizziness and I have not yet had my surgery. When you started your period, was it on the heavy side still?- Just found out I have sleep apnea and can't adjust to CPAP Machine
It took me awhile to even get my hours in for my insurance to approve for me to keep the machine anyway! After I got my hours in..sadly I stopped using it. My surgeon says I need to bring it for the day of surgery so I guess I will be using it then. I did sleep better when using it to be completely honest,I have the mask that goes over my nose..and I called the other day to get a new mask and he told me I had to get re authorized by insurance. Sooo thats out the question. I would say keep trying it though! You may get use to it. I am going to start using mine again!- New to this forum...Got the insurance approval just waiting on surgery date
If you have insurance approval, your insurance should be able to tell you your date. My insurance told me before I got the call from the doc office. Welcome!- Vitamins Post op
Oohh Im going to look that up! Thanks!- Pre op Liquid diet SOOOO hard
Keep pushing through! You know what the end result will be! You got this!- Cramping. Ugh. Help.
I haven't had surgery yet, but I have painful cramps anyways. I boil water and put in some cinnamon with a little honey...or I drink a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar with the mother, in room temp water. This has always helped me. Since you are sleeved already I am not sure how that will be on your tummy.- Vitamins Post op
Thank you, I was also thinking of the inhaler or a shot even though I hate needles it is once a month.- Vitamins Post op
Thank you!- Vitamins Post op
My surgery is not until Nov 30th,but I have been looking in to purchasing my vitamins from when I get home. What vitamins does everyone use and where do you purchase them and if possible can you attach a picture of the packaging looks like. I would really like some insight about this Thanks- November sleevers
I read somewhere that the cramps may come from the liquid being too cold or too hot. Have you tried room temp water?- November sleevers
My surgery is in less than 2 weeks and I was worried about the incisions and clothing as well! I hope I can have some sweats on or pajama pants atleast lol. Beatrice! lol I laughed when I read that. I will have to name mine as well.- November sleevers
