Any bedside nurses here?
I am a nurse in day surgery, I took off 2 weeks and was ok. I'm charge, so my situation is a little different. 3 months seems like a long time. Which surgery r u planning to have done?

Showering
You don't take the glue off, it will eventually start to come off itself, but no not pull it off! I was able to take shower the day after discharge. I had overnight stay in hospital. Your surgeon or nurse should have instructed you on discharge. You can always follow up with your MD office if you have questions about incision site & care.

Postop - May 9th Sleevers
Hello fellow May 9th Sleevers! I just wanted to check in and see how everyone is doing. It's our 2 month anniversary of our new life style. It has truly and still a learning experience for me. I have struggled with my water intake, although I've hit my protein goals daily since day one. I have just now began to get water goals in, but its a daily struggle.

Severe abdominal pain when inhaling and rapid heart rate
Did you have a fever initially when you first started having issues? If not, and your fever is still elevated and heart rate elevated, I will go to ER and they could/would contact your surgeon. How high is your heart rate? Although a fever will cause your heart rate to be higher. Did they do a EGD?

How long did it take to shower after surgery?
Showered the day after, never heard of having to turn back to shower water. I work day surgery and all our doctors say shower next day, pat dry, no scrubbing with Laparoscopic surgeries. No tub baths, swimming pools etc. We've never had issues but I guess each place is different.
