Okay, so here's my so-far kitchen. Still have the subway backsplash, cabinet hardware, shiplap ceiling, new light fixture, 3 can lights, and new stove to do. Been working on it for two months now. It's at the exciting stage, where it all comes together. It's great to be able to start cooking again.

Went to my first post-op appointment today...down 17 pounds woo hooo and I can move to soft purée foods! I came home and made a small bowl of cream of wheat and my eyes definately eat more than my new tummy! I couldn't eat even 1/2 but I am adjusting to my new normal!

Now to enjoy some purée foods :)

Hell Yea!!!!!! Sorry for the language.

Thank you @Sweet as peaches. I love to cook and my dh never complains.

My biggest issue has never been what I eat, I cook healthy foods...I just eat too much of them. Hoping this sleeve helps me learn Portion Control.

I like quick recipe ideas also and yours sounds perfect for a quick snack.

Oh yes!!! Definitely understand about not having Portion Control that happens a lot to me. Im glad im learning new things so i can deal with that issue as well. Brava!!!!!! What kind of seasoning do you use?

I like that idea @Newme17. My first goal was to just get through the surgery without major complications. Check! 2nd goal was to stop my diabetes meds. I am not ready to check that one off yet. I want to see what happens when I start eating solid food with a few more carbs. So for right now that is still my goal and also to get out of the 200's.

We are with you all the way. Let's knocked our obstacles one by one.👍

That sounds yummy @Sweet as peaches. Tonight is a Soup night. I hope we both do good with our purred Soups.

You win on the best soup. Oh my goodness your soup sounds so delicious. My soup was a just a little potato boiled until tender then seasoned it with a chicken bouillon envelope mixed in a cup put Water in the blender mixed the seasoned potato until it was soup pour contents into a bowl microwaved for two minutes instant soup.

I am watching my granddaughter for the first time today since surgery. She is nine months old and is definitely wearing me out lol.

I am determined to get to 70g of Protein today. I am going to make another pot of Soup tonight. I think I will use squash, green Beans, peppers, onions, red potatoes and some smoked turkey sausage. I may throw some in the blender and purée it up good so I can have more than just broth.

Sounds yummy i love the ingredients. I'm up for adoption.

That is awesome @Sweet as peaches. Yay for no more bp meds!!

Have faith in yourself. You can do anything that you decide to do, you are strong. Just set smaller goals that are easier and keep working your way to the grand final.

Thank you that means a lot i guess believing in myself is sometimes hard when you let yourself down with goals. I am going to push myself slowly.

In the hospital today and will be discharged this afternoon. I had the surgery 7:05am Tuesday morning - lots of pain shortly after but now it's nearly gone, gas too!

    Smooth sailing all the way.

Looking so forward to hearing how the rest of you May Sleevers do. I'll start blogging tomorrow, and share this journey in more detail with pics etc.

Blessings to you and, a happy happy future!

    Great job

  11. Hey all, my weight dropped from 379 to 361 and i was able to stand, walk and maneuver into my clothes extremely well. My PCP was extremely excited to see me and she took me off my blood pressure meds completely and my breathing is excellent. Im so happy to be chugging along yet im scared of the future like what if don't make to my goal. I never set goals or promise cause they get flubbed up when i do.
