Good morning everyone. I'm still at my appt airing for the next phase. I just had a great conversation with my nut. She's awesome. I told her my frustrations with the whole carb thing. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Thankfully she isn't about no carbs. She wants me to have complex carbs. Doesn't want me to count but have an idea based on how I'm feeling doing, what Protein, carbs, and fats I'm having daily. She's put a lot of trust in me, simply because I used to study nutrition in college. I was studying to become a nutritionist, lol. Go figure!!!!! I didn't finish it though, decided to work in accounting. I still have that knowledge but didn't put it to use the past 8 years or so.

As for exercise, she wants me to do interval cardio. Nothing high intensity now, still healing but when walking, walk faster for three mins, then walk slow for a few mins. Keep repeating that. That'll help keep my muscle cause I'm pretty sure I lost some.

Oh, here's the exciting part. I'm down 14 pounds since surgery (and that's starting my menstrual yesterday!). I now weigh 230. My starting weight was 258. So a total of 28 lbs down. My highest ever was 266, but I managed to lose 8 lbs in like a year, lol, before I started this journey.

Funny thing is, it's great the weight I lost, but I haven't really put much emphasis on he number, I'm just glad that my clothes are getting lose and I'm finally walking a bunch more. So glad I did this. I'm so glad. ๐Ÿ˜

Good for you. I am a proud sister you're doing fantastic and I'm extremely proud of you. Keep that sweetness up that makes you you.

Good morning @Sweet as peaches. Thank you for always posting such encouraging words.

Today is a much easier day at work. All the emails are caught up so I have some time to check in. Today will be my first lunch outing with co-workers. We are having a going away party for one of my students leaving for grad school. I will order Soup and hopefully nobody notices how little I am eating.

Well thank you so much. I feel like I'm talking to family. The bond we share makes me feel like I am home. You guys lift my spirits up and we all share a fascinating experience in common. So I am blessed to know all of you ladies. Continued success. Hope your lunch went well.

And she's 12? Wow. It seems the age...my step daughter has always been thin, but now she's stick thin, long and lanky like. It's amazing what she can eat. Even before surgery she still ate more than me. Don't know where it all goes. lol

Oh yes!!!! My daughter has always been tall for her age her legs got longer and body got thinner. Like feeding a baby dinosaur really. Lol. Growth spurts. Smh

Wow 5"7 sounds like me growing up. I was always one of the tallest girls in my class.

My dh and I have been empty nesters for many years now, but I am so blessed to have my grandchildren living so close. They are only 6 minutes away by car.

listening to yours and newme17 stories about your children brings back so many memories.

Sorry for the late posting but yes she is the tallest. I swear i don't where she puts the food but she got the longest legs and she is stretched out. She don't even fit in the bed cause she sleeps all over it.

Can anyone recommend a good tasting brand? My 1st day of my liquid diet is today along with my pre op and it's too late for Amazon.

One thing I will say is that I am looking forward to not spending so much money on food. My office orders takeout every day (some days it is paid for). I work in an Italian neighborhood full of yummy restaurants. It is so hard to resist normally but the liquid diet will give me the push to say no. I've even asked the receptionist to leave me off the daily emails.

I have tried chicken bouillon envelopes mixed with hot Water. I also used low sodium butternut squash Soup from trader's joe and carrot ginger soup from trader's joe. The soup weren't tasty but you use unflavored Protein Powder with it and it feels you up.

My kids will too. I swear they're all in a growing spurt at the same time. They ate all their food, shared with each other. That was two hours ago. Now they're eating again. Thankfully, kids ate free at Applebee's today, so we spent $17 for all 5 of us. I call that a win!

Yes, my baby has been eating all day it's like living with a baby dinosaur. And she is tall already (5'7) I think she is having another growth spurt also.

@Sweet as peaches it sounds like you had a restful day๐Ÿ˜ƒ I took your lead and I ate about half of a small chicken thigh. I chewed it up really well and it was so delicious. We ended up going to my daughters house for a barbecue so i didn't have to cook after all.My daughter hooked me up with some egg salad to have for a snack later. I was able to snap this cute picture of granddaughter and my hubby today.

Ok. So I've developed this sharp nabbing pain on the right side of my belly. It hurts if I bend over, take a deep breath, cough, laugh, etc. I thought maybe I pulled the muscle where the incision is? Then I looked up the symptom from other Sleevers, seems like this pain pops up around 2 or 3 weeks, maybe later. Has something to do with the healing process. Might last a few days to a week. But the best thing is to rest and not strain it. My binder will be coming in handy these next few days. Anyone else with this?

Yes, I thought I pop a seam in my body it is sharp like someone is poking you. Again I thought I was losing my mind.

So, I tried chicken! It was so good and yummy. We took our girls to eat out. I just figured I'd nibble on what they order. Nope, corn dog, fries, mac n cheese, mozzarella sticks....nevermind that. So I just asked for a grilled chicken breast with some cheese thrown on top. It was the best grilled chicken I've had in a long time. Very juicy, so that helped a lot. Of course I brought the rest home and threw it in the freezer for later. It was a nice addition to the limited foods I've been eating. Yay for chicken!

Sounds like an evening out with my 12 year old daughter she loves all that you mentioned. Except I am lucky if I come back with a dime in my pocket she will eat me out a house and a home. Yay for chicken breast.

Good late morning gals. I had rough night, but I finally managed to have a significant BM. It has left me feeling sore this morning and I am still having some cramping. I am going to lay low today and hopefully I will feel better as the day goes on.

I am thinking about grilling a little chicken for my dh tonight. @Sweet as peaches Didn't you eat some grilled chicken? Did you blend or just chew it really really good? I am thinking I may try a little thigh meat. I'll cook up some squash with onions and butter to go with it.

Back to work tomorrow. I hope I am feeling better. I hope everyone having a good Memorial Day. Thank you @Newme17 for your tribute to the servicemen and women.

Good evening, I was sleeping most of the day so yeah the chicken was chewed really well diced cut. My youngest help herself to some it. It went down smoothly of course only a few pieces. Yeah for bm. I hope you feel better. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ. Cramps sucks had a few this morning. Your menu sounds great enjoy.
