I like it a lot. I haven't done any running since 2005 when I was a skinny person so I am truly starting from the couch. Running at 5:30 am while the whole neighborhood is sleeping was enjoyable. I didn't expect to feel so invigorated and I thought it would be much harder than it was. I feel so amazing for the whole day after running. I never would have dreamed I would be thinking about running a 5k. I have just completed week 1 and I think I am going to repeat the 3rd run on wk 1 again before advancing on.

I need to buy a decent pair of running shoes though because I have read that many injuries happen because of the wrong shoes. I think you will like the program and you can advance at your own pace so don't be afraid to start slowly. I feel like you are probably much more fit than I am so you should do well.

I'm extremely proud of you for doing the running. You're an inspiration.

Totally not wls surgery worthy....but the bite I had was awesome. Fresh cherries are in and $2.48 a pound. My family LOVES fresh cherries. I have them ready for their picking in the fridge. But they're not eating them as fast as usual, so I pitted about a pound of them and made a cherry cobbler for them. Of course they had vanilla ice cream on top! (I'm not an ice cream fan, so, it didn't affect me any). 😊 Now, if I could only figure out a way to make a very healthy version.....

I do that to myself sometimes. I stand in front of the mirror criticizing everything that is still wrong with me..😫 We need to stop. We are changing both inside and out and we are worthy!! Sometimes our brains just don't see the physical changes yet.

You are challenging yourself with the mudder event, that is nothing short of awesome.

Everytime I walk past my bathroom mirror and job bathroom mirror I checked myself out. Even flashing my stomach.

Indeed they are. The documentary touches base on the antibiotics and hormones given to the animals. It's a very sad epidemic. Did you know that during WWII, the Nazis took away the farm animals from the farmers for their troops in hungary, I think. Left the families without meat. They had to rely on plant based meals. Three years of that, obesity went down and illness went down. When the war was over and the farmers resumed animals products in their diets, sickness and obesity went back up. I'll need to find the study to post a link.

It surely is sad watching these changes occur in our society.

Yes, the raising of them is really sad, with cows and pigs too. Im planning not buying eggs anyway. We'll see if my husband is truly going plant based with me, without his eggs. 😂

That could explain why the world is having so much trouble with obesity. Back in the 70's and 80's, people would dance the weight off and be skinnier than ever nowadays the chickens and beef and pork are so filled with hormones that the size is triple from the way it used to be.

So I came up with an outrageous reading on my H.pylori so my surgery is delayed by 6 weeks (actually, it will be 3 weeks by next Thursday). I had to go through a round of antibiotics and then wait a month to retest. If I retest for a normal level then I will be scheduled out one month for surgery.

Right now I am practicing getting my Water in, chewing my food to pudding consistency, buying all my pre-op and post-op needs (coughing pillow, shower chair, etc.), getting caregivers together for me and my dog. Additionally, I am also getting rid of furniture to make way for exercise equipment and just plain old exercise. I am journaling, meditating, listening to audio CDs and tracking my food.

I look forward to my sleeve surgery but I keep wonder if there is more that I can do.

Anyone of you out there going through this too or have you gone through it in the past?

You are the right track and it is a minor setback but you will be alright. God speed.

My hubby and I had our initial consultation. Surgeon believes we are excellent candidates for the sleeve, and doesn't believe there will be any issues getting our insurance approval. He said he doesn't really have many denials, and my insurance is really good about approving it.

We are now officially on our 6 month medically supervised weight loss journey. Surgery is anticipated in January. Woo whoo!! So excited to be on this journey!!

Y'all might crack up. I was getting ready for bed and I took off my bra and out came tumbling a wad of $5 bills to the floor!!!! It took me a second to register where the money came from. Totally forgot I threw it on the side of my bra after my brother paid me back from borrowing some money. 😂

So ready for these things to be smaller!!! I'm somewhat hopeful, but they're not going anywhere yet!!! 😕

I know the feeling sometimes you have to laugh at the things you can stash in your boobs and find.

I was sleeved on 5/27 and am having a similar problem. I lost 16lbs in the first two weeks but, now I'm stalled. I know it's hard advice to take, but honestly the only thing that seems to the most repeated advice is to just stay off of the scale for the first month. I am going to try my hardest!

Hang in there. It will get better. I don't even own a scale. I use the mirror usually checking out the difference in my neck and back. It's not a scale but it gives me sanity.
