  1. Haa great day. No interference in my second day of full liquid diet. I drank my shakes low sodium v8 water carrot ginger mixed with chicken broth. And will have another shake in twenty minutes. I am so happy it's a great day. The weekend is easy no temptation.

  2. God is with me always

  3. Today is a new day.  I will be positive and joyful.  LOL  Now that I said that, let's see what comes my way to try and get me off of my joyful high.  My kid's behaviors, hubby not listening to me (lol), an obstacle in the way of our remodel?  I will laugh through it.  Ha! (I'll have to update later.....)

So, I'm up early on a Sat morning.  It's somewhat usual.  I'm enjoying the QUIET of the house and drinking my last iced coffee, made with Chameleon brand cold brew, almond milk (unsweetened), and a tad almond creamer, caramel flavoring.  I have been having decaf for the past month or so, but I allow one cup of regular coffee once a week.  So this is my last and I'm enjoying it. :)

Pre-op starts Monday for me.  I'm to have a shake and go pick up my pre-op paperwork from the center I'm going to.  They said it'll take about 10-15 mins to go over.  I failed to ask if that's when I make my payment or not.  I'm going to pay using my cash rewards card, even though I have the cash (will just turn around and pay it off).  Why not make money, right?  I'll be doing two shakes and a meal for two weeks.  Of course, the meal will be restricted.  Not sure about snacks though.  I'm a snacker....and that's going to be the hardest part for me.  Overall, I'm ready to get this show on the road!!!

  4. Today I have officially finished all of my pre-surgery testing and had my last supervised diet and exercise visit. Now I wait for them to review my file again and wait for my insurance to authorize pre-approval.

I'm eager to get the ball rolling but I heard we are likely looking at the end of June as a surgery date.

  7. Down another decade! I hit 240 this morning, and I'm trying not to get overly excited about seeing something in the 230s tomorrow.  It's a little like the night before your birthday as a kid, only over and over.

  8. Thanks God His mercies are new everyday. I sure need it after today's lack of diet. 😔

  9. I started my protein shake that I'm going to be enjoying for the next five and half weeks. Today was a pretest to how I will feel tomorrow morning. Tomorrow, I start my pre-op diet and don't want any surprises at work. I have been shunning soda for a week now and I feel really great. Please pray the my stomach doesn't get antsy at work that I need to seek solace on the bathroom.😎

  14. It's all in my head.  I just got a the realization that I'll be starting my pre-op on Monday.  All of a sudden, I got hungry.  LOL

    Isn't that just awful!?

  15. 4/26 - I had four slices of turkey and 1 slice of povolone from Subway today. I had grilled chicken and broccoli for lunch. I am kinda getting tired of grilled chicken. I would like to try fish however I am getting nervous about it. I have off tomorrow so what I am going to do is, see my PCP (Long pass due lol). Then head to the supermarket and get some fish. Idk how to cook fish and that scares me lol. If not, I can always buy grilled fish from my local fish market as well.

My Bf called me today. We have not talked to each other in 2 days (This normal. Between our Full Time Jobs and Full Time schooling 2 days is normal lol). He proceeded to tell me that he was down and really depressed in regards to the amount of stress he is under. So I just sent him these cute pictures while we were facing time and his face lite up. He started laughing. He laughed and said, "Your my best friend you know that right?" The sincerity in his voice melted my heart. Go BF for making my day better.

  17. 4/23 - Had a lazy day. I will admit, I did not eat enough (was not hungry). I just had a lazy Sunday, nothing out of the ordinary. Played video games all day. Just normal couch potato things. I also purchased a Hidrate Spark 2.0. Shout out to @Newme17 for posting about it.

4/24 - Got my Portion8 container and I was sooo hype. I will have to cook on Thursday and meal prep accordingly. Drank a lot of water. I had chicken and green beans. I wanted to try something new with my chicken (I added salsa and taco seasoning with low sodium) Made myself a naked burrito.

4/25 - Today is my little brothers b-day. He turned 17 years old today. We took him to Hooters. I got tempted and ended up eating a piece of bread from the chicken sandwich. It was delicious but I was bloated.

  18. Go for pre-op on wednesday

    Surgery is May 9

So excited to start a healthy life :)

  19. Three years post gastric bypass and 115 pounds still off. Just wanted to touch base with this forum. I plateaued out at 141 after high of 256. It remains a struggle but so worth all the trials on the road here. I want to encourage you all to stay the course and listen to all the expert advice from your medical support staff.

  20. Just submitted my info to Insure Nutrition to see if my insurance will cover Premier protein shakes post op.  We shall see.

  21. FREAKING OUT!

Surgery on April 24th.  All I heard was horror stories yesterday.

    Anyone??!

  22. So, this past Friday I let my boss know that I will be having my surgery on May 15th.  She never responded back.  So, her husband (the owner) came in and I told him (she had already talked to him).  He says, "ok, we'll make it work"  They're due to go to Argentina for vacation that same very day!!!!  lol  She wanted me to be in the office that week while they were gone.  Well, guess what!?  I've been planning this for almost 6 months (4months since I officially started) and I will not be changing my date for her to get her stinkin vacation.  I told him that I've been waiting for this and that is what it will be.  May 15th.  I could already see her reaction, calling her husband and complaining about the timing.

    Well, THAT's JUST TOO BAD!

  24. All 'm going to say, is when we go into any kind of surgery, we are aware of  risks and told of risks.  I really don't want to turn my email notifications off, but all I've been getting are bickering posts about the "supposed or verified deaths of patients".

  25. 4/21 - When to the NUT today. She was soo proud of my progress. I told her I was concerned that I my loss was slowing down and she assured me that it would be normal. She said, "Slow and steady wins the race. She said my weight looked amazing and that I should be proud of even 4lbs because of how much 1lb of fat means to a healthier body. She gave me the go ahead to start adding in new foods with limitations:

    Stay away from red meat

    Stay away from pasta

    Stay away from rice

Stay away from from all kinds of ice cream and sugar free junk alternatives.

And the usual suspects (No cakes, cookies, ice cream and soda (any carbonated/sparkling drink)

She gave me the go ahead to start lightly at the gym. No more than a 30 minute light weight workout (walking on the treadmill and biking). She said no weight lifting just yet, or swimming :(, I will have to wait until my 6 week followup with my surgeon to see if it is okay.

    Since Pre-Op Diet (3/12/2017): 29lbs

    Since Surgery (3/26/2017): 15lbs

Although 15lbs does not seem like a lot, it is when you break it down in weeks. That is 3.75lbs a week. That is more than I ever did without this tool. I am soo happy it's working.
