I started at 311 I believe on surgery date.
I know this last week I have been eating the wrong food. I got depressed and just said forget this.
I only ate bread, pasta and rice this last week. I cook for the family and they were all sick of eating healthy and I am not using that as an excuse. I just fell off the wagon because I was depressed with my progress.I mean I am so stoked I am not in the three hundreds anymore. But I am so terrified of going back there and putting myself through all this for nothing.
I spent a week screaming at myself " what the hell did you just do you stupid witch" following surgery. I have a 10 pound cyst and my left ovary removed and it hurt but NOTHING alike this surgery did. It took me a long time to get that big. I have pcos but I am also an emotional eater. And it's like I am always hungry and if I don't keep myself occupied I will walk to visit my old friend food. My periods have been light since the surgery. But I have been dizzy a few days here and there and my blood pressure has been running kinda in the low side. I do drink fluids. Mostly water and unsweetened Decaf tea with sugar free lemonade here as that is the only sugar free stuff I can stomach.
But then I get sick of those and will have a little sugar in my tea once in a while it all the time.
I don't have a nut, my doctor that did my surgery actually left the practice and joined another one so I have to go through the process of either moving my records to the new practice or staying where I am. I only actually saw her twice. The first visit and the day of surgery. I see a assistant for my follow up visits. So I am kinda in limbo right now.
As I am afraid of the scales when I get to the doctor.
I have stopped from a size 28 to a size 24 jeans. I was so excited about that but I hate the way I look. My skin is starting to hang worse then it did and it looks stretched out if that makes any sense. I guess I am coming to realize I can't do this in my own like I thought I could......

rnymorales reacted to JohnOwens in Dry mouth after surgery caused from CPAP
So I was sleeved early January and I sleep with a CPAP machine. I noticed early on that I would wake up with a call completely dry mouth. Not just a little dry, but more like lips stuck to teeth and a tongue like sandpaper dry. Has anyone else had this problem and if so what do you do to combat it?

Congrats on your success!! Surgery was 12/8 for me. I had a month where I sat within a 5 lb range, right above a major milestone that I wanted to hit. I just stayed patient. Being able to move more is my favorite part. My least favorite is the skin already hanging, but it's not a horrible tradeoff.

I had Rny 12-28-16. I don't really know my highest weight. Something around 402. I saw a 4 at the front of the number one day at the Dr's office and blocked it out. That was 6years ago. 4 years ago I weighed 386. My 1st Dr appointment with my surgeon I weighed 350. But after 6 month of a supervised diet I was down to 338.that Dr had Me on schedule for October 29th. Then I got a call he stopped doing surgeries. Personal issues. I had all of my pre op work finished. Found a new Dr went in for an appointment and never heard from them again. October November and all of December basically. Dec 21st I got a call I'm approved surgery was 8 days away. I needed to come in for final blood work. By that time I was back up to 354. I had given up. Not hearing from the Dr office. But he told me to go home start my liquid diet and it would be OK. Day of surgery 12-28-16 I weighed 337. Today 4-21-17 I weigh 279. Had a 2 week stall. Met with the nutritionist and she says stay between 700-750 calories. Now my scale is moving again.. Went from a size 28 to a 22 and 5x top to a 3xor 2x depends. Soooo happy I did this.

    Hello,
I will share some progress pics soon I need to buy a new full length mirror since my 5 year old knocked mine down a few weeks ago.
I had RNY on Oct 5, I believe I was 260 on surgery day. I made it into onderland at around 5.5 months post op but crept back up to 200-203 and have been stalled there since.
I really am happy I had the surgery, I don't think I could have lost this weight on my own, since I've been trying unsuccessfully for years. I look and feel so much better! My confidence is up and my anxiety has gone down. I'm getting a lot of compliments and attention, which hasn't really happened to me in years, it feels great!
The problem is, I haven't really overcome the issues that made me overweight to begin with. I still struggle to make healthy choices and with emotional eating. I still eat too many carbs, and sometimes the really bad kind of carbs I have no business eating at all. I've seen several posters who had surgery around the same time as me have better results, because they are sticking to the plan better than I have done.
I worry that I will never make it to goal, or even closer to my goal than I am now. I really worry I won't be able to keep this weight off. I feel so guilty that I deviate from the plan nearly every day. I do have good support from my surgeon and am going to a support group meeting tonight.
I hope this post is not too negative. I have a lot of worries but I am still trying to follow the plan and hope I can turn things around!

I'm in the same boat. Sleeved 12/19 and only down 40 lbs. I was at 367 before dieting for almost a year pre-op, surgery at 330 and 290 as of this morning. I guess as long as I'm not gaining, it will all work out in the end if I trust the process.

I had surgery on 12/21/16. My starting weight was 298 and I am currently 235, 63 lbs down. I believe I am starting a stall now, as I've been 235 the last week, but I feel great! I rode a bike for the first time in 3 years and I've started playing (extreme) tennis.

12-27-26 was my surgery date. Surgery day 356. Currently 290. I'm on a stall for the last few weeks as well. Just patiently waiting. ....I know it's going to start up again, but the wait can be tough. Plus side, I feel like I'm still shrinking

    @Jodygirl1982 You are doing awesome!
I was sleeved 12/12/16. I have hit my big stall too.. I have been bouncing between the same 1-3 pounds for the last few weeks and it is sooooo frustrating. I know its part of the process its just hard when the scale just stops moving.... makes me scared I might stop losing anymore even though I know that is just my mind messing with me.
I am only down about 43 pounds since the day of surgery, but down 63 total since I started the pre-op diet 2 weeks before. Just taking it a day at a time and trying to up my Water intake and my exercise!

Had my band taken out on 1/17/17 it was one of the worst days of my life, it felt like my heart was being ripped out. I depended on my tool for over 3+years and lost 100lbs and the thought of regaining weight was a nightmare. I been trying since to stay on a low carb diet and eating healthy but it's just so hard. I do great all day but night time is the worst. Unfortunately I'm unable to get any other Wls due to the fact that I'm still under weight. But it's difficult living with 2 people in my house who still have Lapland's in. I get very depressed wishing I had that restriction again. Am I the only one feeling this way.

I saw that my weight is going down much slower. However I workout every night. In my workout, I burn more calories than I eat all day. Is my weight loss slow due to starvation or is it just me.
I am 10.5 weeks post op
    Walk a brisk pace for 9 miles, 5 days/week
    burn 1400-1500 cal per walk
    Daily consumption is 1000cal.
