  1. You should try add a few healthy fats to your diet such as avocado, salmon and coconut oil. I was one of the lucky ones, I don't think I lost a strand.. But I have lost 117lbs (almost 10 months post op). I did start adding these from the moment I was allowed to eat puréed/soft diet.
  2. I guess I considered myself pretty 'healthy' at almost 400lbs. I've never been on any medication, exercised 3-4 times a week and managed to everything I needed to. But maybe on the inside (the things I couldn't see) weren't good. I had no pre op diet and my op was successful so either my liver wasn't hectically fatty or I just had a pretty good surgeon! It gets you thinking. I ate healthy food (except for my crisp and yoghurt addiction), just copious amounts thereof!! Where I was unhealthy was my head - using food to control my feelings!! I look at this photo of myself and think 'who the hell was I kidding-that's NOT healthy girl!! So fat and healthy, in my opinion, I don't think so!!!
  3. I'm from Southend on sea, Essex - quite a long way from you! There are a few people from UK, but not a lot.. I was sleeved in February. Love it! Hope all is good for you
  4. I'm from the UK too seen it on the shelves and always wondered.. I'm a creature of habit but do like trying new things - I've never tried tofu either!! Time to start living I reckon!
  5. That's looks delicious.. I've never tried paneer.. What is it similar to?
  6. Very exotic looking.. If you closed your eyes you could dream you were...
  7. I had to wait 13 months between my two surgeries. I was devastated when I was told what the waiting list was. It all worked out well in the end.
  8. Gamergirl.. It's just out a bottle (naughty me!!) I just drizzle over the raw prawns whilst they cook for 2/3 mins.. Then serve!! Yes let's see your lunch (this is my dinner.. So I'm cheating too!!)
  9. Jumbo king prawns with zucchini and red pepper in balsamic vinegar glaze
  10. Thanks and Congrats on your loss.. I have a long way to go still, but I couldn't be happier!
  11. Thanks and Congrats on your loss.. I have a long way to go still, but I couldn't be happier!
  12. That fantastic!! Well done, you are looking AMAZING.
  13. SW 397.. I have lost 117.5lbs.. Still a way to go but I'm getting there.. This was my before photo!
  14. You look amazing. Your advice was spot on too. Congratulations on your success!!
  15. Amazing! Thanks for sharing-you look super!
  16. Not strictly lunch.. It's dinner time now-chicken with roast veggies (mushroom, onion, fennel, cherry tomato and green pepper) with garlic and herbs
  17. Yes I have tried it with other fillings such as chicken, bacon and mackerel (not all at the same time) but the pulled ham definitely the most tasty option!! Taste buds sure have changed.. I had my eye on the bottle of baileys (cream liqueur) more than the pancakes.. I'm like you gamergirl.. I love cooking its the best thing in the world - well one of the best things!!
  18. I'm only joking.. Just in a playful mood.. My lunch was a goats cheese, pulled ham, mushroom and spinach omelette thing cooked in egg whites and two whole eggs.. I make a big pan, slice into 6 and that gives me 6 lunches.. Works out at 151 cal (also a teeny bit of coconut oil)
  19. Dark meat definitely.. More tasty, more juicy!! Always has been my first choice
  20. Loved all your photos!! Wish we had Thanksgiving. I was lucky to experience one in 1999 when I worked in the States. One of my best holidays ever!!
  21. Not sure what you're worried about then!
  22. Or you can just mash up avocado and season with a drop of lemon juice, 'salt' and pepper.. No bits!
  23. Well I never cheated but I wasn't required to have a pre op. my instructions were to stop eating and drinking from 00.00 the night before my surgery. However in the last week leading up to my surgery my appetite decreased somewhat.. Maybe due to nerves!! That said, I'm sure your dr has a very good reason for asking you to go on a pre op.. Good Luck!
