  1. So I have a friend that had VSG. Afterwards she took HCG because she was told that it helps with skin elasticity. Because you're already only eating 800-1000 calories per day. And she actually ended up having no loose skin. Has anyone else heard of taking HCG after the sleeve?

  3. I'm in week 3 and the scale goes up and down .4 to .8 pounds. But since I've ready so much about the stall I'm not in a panic. I know I'm eating between 500 and 600 calories per day and I'm getting in close to 60 grams of Protein and getting in around 48-64 ounces of fluids. So I'm going to keep going and be patient.

  4. Me too! Would love some scrambled eggs, or even a deviled egg!!! One more week to go.....

Hitting the egg stage seems exciting, but you can't eat enough to really do too much. Lol! Although I've only been in this stage for a couple of days I still drink my Protein Shakes to get my Protein in. My NUT told me that eating will get easier. I can only take her word for it. I read somewhere that the goal in phase 3 and 4 is to get in 6 oz of food. Today that seems impossible!!! Lol. That's sounds crazy to hear myself saying I can't eat 6 oz of food!!!! We'll get through this together!!!!

  5. My fellow april sleevers I am 2 days post op. And I'm already feeling great and ready for this journey. I too had my surgery in Tijuana, and I believe that was the best hospital dr and staff experience I've ever had. Just gotta make sure I stay hydrated without my iv now. But good luck to everyone.

  6. I made it!!! Finally on the losers bench... surgery was yesterday at around 3:00 pm. The gas pain immediately out of surgery was pretty intense, but it has eased up immensely! I'm walking and walking and walking this morning. Good luck to all of my fellow April sleevers. We got this!

  7. My doctor said they do this to shrink the liver. Also to prepare you for the liquid diet after surgery. After the first day I was pretty sure my liver was going to be the size of a pea by my surgery date! Actually it hasn't been all that bad after the first few days.

The hard part is being around everyone else that is eating food that smells wonderful. [emoji23]

  8. I just tried to PM you but I don't think it went through...
I just wanted to say hi since we both have the same date! I am with Dr Illan, but also at Oasis Hospital, so we may meet...Not sure. I just wanted to see how you are doing? Dr gave me a one week liquid diet to follow...Almost time! I am getting a bit nervous, but so excited!

I got 10 days on the liquid diet [emoji31]. This is day 3 and it hasn't been TOO hard, but hasn't been completely easy either. I still prepare dinner for my hubby every evening and I have to sit in an office where everyone is eating junk food all day long!!! I'm doing GREAT considering. Its hard to believe that this is happening next week, this time flown by so fast. I'm excited and believe it or not, I'm not nervous at all. I've been wanting this for a long time and I'm ready.

  9. I was sleeved on Monday. Everything was really great except for the gas pains. It was all in my shoulders an I couldn't lay down only on a recliner. But it was gone in about a day and a half. I even went shoe shopping with the hubby on Tuesday that's how great I was feeling.
Now last night I woke up with some crazy ass heartburn and ended up taking Mylanta. Worked great but doc just said to do Pepto diluted instead.
Not having any problems with my Water intake only to keep increasing.
From all I've read I'm really having it easy and I'm shocked about that too.

That is so good to hear!! I'm glad you're going so well. I hope it only gets easier from here.
