  1. I'm trying. I found no sodium broths and they are my life. I'm so sick of the shakes because it's just sweets and normally I don't have a sweet tooth to begin with- I crave salt. The no sodium broths are taking the edge off at least!

    PRE-OP ANIEXTY

Hey girl! I have slight anxiety issues and my surgery is the same day as yours! It's going to be ok. You signed up for this for the same reason I did, to get health and live a better life. You got this. It's normal to have pre-surgery jitters but it's going to be so worth it in the end. P.S. I sent you another Pm.
  3. Or those of you passed that point but that can remember that time.... My surgery is 5/31 and I'm going on my honeymoon in October and we're going to Europe. I obviously know I will be eating much, much less but I want to be able to taste different foods without eating everything in sight like I normally would. Is that something that's possible at 5 months or will I still not be eating real foods? I understand the sleeve is a tool, and I intend to use it that way, I'm just more interested to see if I'll be eating regularly (for a sleeved person) at that time or still introducing foods. Thanks!
  4. My future brother in law had the sleeve 2.5 years ago and is actually getting his gallbladder out today. [emoji20]
  5. Thank you all for the responses and also for letting me know I won't have a problem being active! I have so many excursions set up and I didn't even think about whether or not I would be able to do them! I really appreciate your answers!
  6. I'm currently on day 9 of my liquid diet and would kill for 2 wings. Just sayin'. [emoji30][emoji16]
  7. How do you get through 2 weeks of shakes? I'm on day 5 and I'm suffering. I want salt. And whenever I see food my stomach growls. How did you succeed? I don't know if I can do this!
  8. Hello all, I am scheduled for 5/31 and I am getting married in October. My current weight is 208 (I have a heart condition and PCOS, so I qualified for surgery). I'm wondering how much weight someone at my size can lose in the 4 months after surgery. I'm concerned about having my dress taken in and whether or not it will fit for the wedding so any input from someone who started around my size would be so greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
  9. My dress can be taken in a few inches on each side, plus it's a corset back so I'm hoping it'll be ok.

Yes and I and surviving on the shakes actually being pudding with a little less water because at least I can pretend I'm eating!!
  11. Not much!? 21 lbs is huge! That's so awesome! Congratulations! And thank you!!
  12. That's what I'm worried about. Being smaller plus PCOS, plus figuring out the right amount to avoid starvation mode. I'm worried that even after surgery it'll be as difficult of an uphill battle as it's always been!

    May Sleevers?

Don't be discouraged. Your body IS healing and once it's done you'll see weight loss.

    May Sleevers?

You got this girl! I'm right behind you! (5/31) and I can't wait! Positive vibes only!
  15. Thankfully, I'm the smallest... not mommy haha.
  16. Well, I already ordered the dress but it's a corset and the only measurement needed was right under my bust where, thankfully, mommy smallest and there's not much fat to be lost. I ordered it because it was the last day to order from this designer and I fell in love with it, also, I didn't know if I was even going to get approved for surgery. I'm hoping that since the measurements were only in the one spot it won't be too terrible, also I opted for one size smaller than I measured at because regardless of surgery I was going to do anything I could to finally lose weight. Thank you for your reply. I really appreciate it. I'm a nervous wreck as it is with the wedding and then I panicked that I wouldn't even have a dress!

    Insecure Ex

I haven't gotten my sleeve yet (5/31) and my fiancé asks me if I'm still going to love him when I lose weight. To me, it's crazy, but I can understand the insecurity because it's something you hear about. What they don't understand is that majority of people who lose dramatic weight quickly still see themselves as heavy and that's not something that (sometimes) ever goes away. But yeah, you're not the only one going through that haha.

I don't have kids, but I'm doing it for me. It's a struggle every day, but I'm doing it.

    Shakes.

Unfortunately, I'm one of the few people who hate coffee [emoji30]. I've tried making the shakes into puddings and with ice and it's just so terrible. I'm pushing myself and my fiancé is doing it with me, god bless him, but 2 weeks is so long!

The shakes I am having can also be puddings and that's what held me over yesterday's but today I'm just sick of it. I want salt. Anything with salt. Maybe even just salt by itself at this point! I have another 8 days, and idk if I can do it!
