So I was reading an article today and it mentioned that you'd be more irritable. I took that to mean that my attitude would be all b*tchy.... I've found that, that isn't the case at all. Small things bug me like dry skin on my lips, or the way my feel feel with no lotion, or even my pillow not being in the right position. Things that probably wouldn't have irritated me as much before the surgery.... ok maybe dry lips wouldn't have. LOL

Glad your home and doing better. Don't cheat, don't push the limits, talk talk talk to your NUT or surgeon if anything seems odd or uncomfortable. Reach out anytime on here as well. Everyone is willing to help.

Glad you did it! Glad your OK!

I'm glad you are home and doingbok

I had my Gastric Sleeve surgery this past Wednesday and got home yesterday afternoon. 3 days post op. in addition to the sleeve, they found a hiatal hernia which had to be repaired. I was up and walking 3 hours after my procedure. I am so sore from the gas and multiple bags of iv fluids, but so happy to be home. I have a drain tube which will be removed next Friday. I have done well on the initial liquid diet, but since starting the stage 2 diet, it feels like the food and the gas are in competition with each other for space, and I am taking small sips during drink time, and small bites during food time. Has anyone else experienced this? Eventually I am able to burp it out, but it is such a weird feeling! Is that normal? Hope everyone is well today :)

I'm glad you are at home mm 12 days out and still hard for me get all my liquid in I do not wanted to eat at all I'm walking but I guess it will get better

Surgery is tomorrow morning sometime. I'm here in Juarez at Star Medica through BeLiteWeight. I'm happy with everything so far and believe me, I'm picky. I can't find anything to complain about. I am getting nervous even though I know tomorrow will be a new beginning. It's so scary thinking about the unknown and the feeling you are giving your life to someone else to handle.

    Congrautalutions on your new journey

Hang in there it is all such a distance memory so quickly. I am just over 3 weeks and I barely remember not being able to drink, struggling to get liquids etc. Yeah eating food is still a challenge other than 2 or 3 oz's at a time but I think that's the idea ;-)

    You are doing great.

I know abut the food and said chew chew and still hard on me eating it is purée food so I'm not going eat do food until talk to my doctor

I had surgery Monday. I had a hiatal hernia repair along with my sleeve. I was up walking the same day as surgery.
I still have pain at the indented incision site, which I suppose is to be expected. I take pain pills to help with the pain.
I managed to work a few hours today, I work from home.
I'm struggling to get all my liquids in. Im on a full liquid diet for 2 weeks.
Any suggestions getting more liquids down? I'm afraid to over fill my sleeve.

Sent from my VS995 using BariatricPal mobile app

Gas pains do come and go. Doing sips of Water but this morning I will be trying broths and stuff. I am not hungry or anything. Anyway good luck to the rest of the April sleevers

YOU DID IT!! YOU MADE IT!! and you sly dog, lost 22 lbs in the past two weeks!! that is amazing. congrats. Sorry to hear about the gall bladder but good that you didnt have to have another surgery or pass the stones. that would have been AWFUL.

Glad to hear no gas pain - I was not so lucky - but it has subsided now. And man! Constipation to diahhrea in record time was quite the intense experience. I'm just glad to be on the other side.

Did they show you a pic of your stomach? Makes me nauseated just remembering. Hope you are home? and resting. Keep me posted!

I had MGB surgery on 4/10/17 and am doing pretty good. Right when I woke up in recovery I was in a lot of pain but they gave me good meds for it. I didn't really have any gas pain so I was lucky there.

I did better with getting fluids in at first but last week was a challenge. I think I'm doing better this week but I don't have much of an appetite so I have to remind myself to eat, which is mainly puréed Soup and yogurt.

I'm so glad I had this surgery. All my worry beforehand was for naught.

Good luck my fellow April surgical compadres!

That is going on with me this week can't hardy get no Fluid in I went primary care doctor and he said I'm doing good and said I'm doing good on my weight lose I thank him from saying that but problems is not getting that much fluid in at all I did call the sugerson office and told me it will get better and drink what I can and don't try force no fluid in at all
