Damn, I'm very sorry to hear that. I wish I had some ideas for you, but you absolutely do not want to get so dehydrated that you need to go back to the hospital. I'd speak with the surgeon ASAP. Until then, keep up the ice chips at least.

I talk to sugerson that is who I saw why was in the hospital I go back to him on June 6 and go back to primary care doctor the 30 of this month it is getting hard I thank you for your concern

Yeah, I had the same issue. It got to the point where I felt more dehydrated drinking 64oz than 32oz of Water and I was getting bad headaches the more Water I drank. I also had really dry skin when I was drinking 100oz/day. Protein Shakes, Jello, and SF Popsicles are all ways you can up your Fluid intake. It got better for me right around week 5.

Right now I can't do Protein Drinks SF popsicles Jello or anything this had been the worse for me I been hospital everything taste nasty and make me sick I vomited most everyday and it is miserable for me

Sleeved exactly 2 weeks ago, May 9th, 2017. I was a model patient drinking at least 64 oz each day. Now, all of a sudden, it's uncomfortable to drink Water. Every sip is unwanted. Hard to put words to it, but sorta like it doesn't sit well in my stomach. Not painful, but uncomfortable. Yesterday, I didn't even finish 21 ozs. I have no desire today to drink. I know that's bad, know I have to force it down. Am I alone with this? Any suggestions?

No you not I can't hardy drink Water or anything and I had sugery April 17 2017 some days I don't know what to do I suck on ice chips no days I have desired to drink and pray everyday that it will get much better I pray for you that will get much better for you

Oh boy, pancreatitis is no joke. I had no idea I had so many pancreatic attacks in the past until they opened me up. I guess when you have gallbladder attacks it can trigger pancreatic attacks. My doctor had the hardest time getting my gallbladder out during my vsg surgery, and he even dropped two stones inside me, which is why he left my main incision open for my husband to pack twice a day. He said getting my gallbladder out was like wrestling an alligator--and my stomach was stuck to my pancreas because it was so sticky from the many attacks in the past.

I'm telling you, all this was because of a fatty and enlarged liver. I thought the gallbladder hurt the liver and pancreas, but I now believe the fatty liver is what took down my gallbladder and scarred my pancreas. If you look up the symptoms of a fatty liver, you'd be surprised how it has affected our bodies without us knowing, blaming other things for those symptoms. I also believe thats why we're dropping weight faster after vsg, opposed to dieting before. A fatty liver makes our metabolism sluggish, causing us to gain weight, feel tired, depressed, and achy. But within two weeks of a low calorie/low carb/low fat diet, our livers shrink back to a healthy size, melting away the fat that was on there so it can properly do its job. And one of its jobs is giving us back a healthy metabolism.

I hope you feel better soon, I truly do. I can't imagine how miserable you've been feeling

    I thank you so much

Hey guys: real disappointed right now! Had my sleeve on April 24th ...went for my almost two follow up and I've lost only 4lbs! I cried all the way home. I've done everything I was suppose to do and NOTHING. I lost 15lbs on my own during 3 week pre-op. Please tell me things will get better.

It will get better just keep doing what you doing and try walk more

Wow, I'm glad you said that. In the beginning I could only get in a quarter cup, or 2 oz, but now I can get 4-5 ounces in--especially with Protein Shakes. The first time I ate an egg, I think I did three tiny bites and today I think I'm eating half to 3/4's of it. Maybe I can do more, but I'm still feeling around to what 'full' feels like.

I'm glad you all able to eat I still can't get Fluid in my been nausea and vomiting I been to ER I have follow up with my surgeon 3 to 5 days and primary care also 3 to 5 days so I pray I get much better soon

I feel alien liking plain old ice Water so much.

Anyhow, I started soft solids a day early, was supposed to start Thursday.

Had some Beans and block (grated) cheddar cheese melted in with the Beans and a tad of mild sauce (all in all about 1/3 of a cup). Went down just fine, started to feel the restriction. Later will try Ragu meat sauce with super tiny bits of ground beef and see how that goes. Scrambled eggs possibly too. This is the part of the diet I've looked forward to so much. eggs and beans are being permanently incorporated into my post-op diet whereas the meat sauce will give way to actual beef (like a burger) and chicken (tenders) in a week or two when I try that.

I can't eat nothing or drink I'm been trying do Water and ice chips and I'm 24 days out I'm glad you are able to esteat

I have been drinking MIO for my basic drink but starting to like Isopure and Premier Protein Clear Protein Drink. It is nice to get the supplemental Protein as it helps with energy. Tired of Soup but Protein Shakes are fine. Been walking about 7k steps since Saturday but my wife caught me on the bench press machine doing some reps of 40lbs and I got the look. So I have not done that since promised to wait until two weeks but I am ok to play with bands. I am amazed how good I feel and my hope is all my April sleevers are doing well. Tomorrow is first group meeting for nutrition. I suppose they need to get us ready for week two and three.

My first post-op nutrition class is May 8 for me I still can't get all my protien in I was able eat little bit of purée food today for dinner

I don't know if you like cranberry juice, but the first four days, until I could drink Water easily again, I was drinking Ocean Spray's Diet cranberry juice. I wouldn't say it was the best stuff on the planet but it helped with the bladder to recover after surgery and it's only 5 calories for 8 oz.

I said was going try it I do like cranberry juice I got try something because food don't taste good to me at all I'm try some eggs tomorrow and see how that taste
