  1. This is just what I did. But as of now, I'm in for June 23. They claim to have nothing available sooner. I'm really disappointed to be most likely doing this without my husband, and with minimal help with my 3 kids. This adds an additional stress, and not mention 2 more months to the 7 months of insurance hoops I've gone through. I should be happy today, but instead I just feel like I need to "get through" it.
  2. I'm going to give the "scheduler" a call today. Hopefully they can accommodate me.
  3. Hooray! So glad it all went well!
  4. So I've completed all of my insurance requirements, clearances and 6 months of weigh ins. I saw my surgeon today for what I was told would be my last appointment, when I would be given a tentative surgery date, for mid may, pending insurance approval. Well, I waited an hour and saw the dr for 5 seconds. He gave me a high 5 for completion and sent me off to sign a consent. I waited 20 minutes for the consent[emoji30]. I was told a scheduler would call me in "a couple of days", but that as of today the next available date is June 2. A whole month more???? I know I need time for approval, but I'm feeling really frustrated and disappointed. My husband just found out he'll need to travel for work come June, which puts me in an impossible situation.
  5. I'm going to prepare some freezer meals for my family so that my husband doesn't have to cook every night. I have 3 children so they'll all need to eat while I drink and recover.
  6. Good luck to you. You definitely deserve a do over. I'll be thinking of you [emoji173]️
  7. I have my last weigh in today. I'll be given a tentative date pending ins approval. I am BMI 38 with several "comorbidities"
  8. I am BMI 38, but with several comorbidities. Although I can't give you the info you're looking for, my surgeon says I am an excellent candidate and I will be scheduling my surgery today. I wish you luck!
  9. I had to do 6 months of "documented, non surgical weight loss efforts" So basically 6 months of monthly weigh ins.
  10. I wear mine every night. My dr cracks up when I go for follow ups bc my data shows 100% compliance, and he says nobody has 100% [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] He also said that based on that, he knows I'll do well complying with my weight loss surgery guidelines
  11. Hooray!!! Great news (despite the delay!)
  12. I'm hoping to schedule on Monday for mid to end of may! [emoji2][emoji2][emoji2]
  13. I've told my mom and obviously my husband knows. That's all. It's nobody's business but my own.
  14. Omg. I'd be like a lunatic. They know you've been through months of insurance hoops already. [emoji30]
  15. [emoji445][emoji445]Nobodyyyyy cares......[emoji445][emoji445][emoji23][emoji23]
  16. If you don't like "shakes" try the syntrax nectar. I bought the variety pack to try them all. Flavors like lemonade, iced tea, fuzzy navel. They aren't creamy, more like a regular beverage. I mix them with ice and water, they are 100 calories, sugar free and 23g protein. I'm pre op and just giving them a try to see what I like, and so far, so good. [emoji1303]
  17. I have my cardiac stress test on Tuesday, then the last of my 6 month weigh ins next Monday.... sooo clooooseeeeeee[emoji23]
  18. I was biopsied as well, and had my follow up on Friday. all is good. [emoji4]
  19. That's what I'm saying! [emoji23]
  20. I was nervous for the endoscopy, but it was so quick. They sedate you, it's a different drug than a surgical anesthesia. I worried for nothing. The hardest part for me was being hungry and thirsty because my appointment was at 3:45 in the afternoon
  21. I have to do full liquid for 7 days pre op. I'm kind of looking forward to it.
  22. Same with me. He told me at the end of my appointment that I was cleared and that he would send my clearance over to my surgeon that night
  23. I'm tired of being tired. Hoping substantial weight loss and healthy habits help!
  24. You sound like me. How much did you have to lose total? But I was diagnosed hypothyroidism at 16, nearly 30 years ago. I'm an under 40 BMI, so I'm curious about how much you lost in those 2.5 months [emoji4]
  25. What do you mean by more damage?
