  1. I am 11 days post op. I lost 5 pounds in the first week and so far have gained .5 this week. What gives???? I am following my guidelines like the Bible. Water, walking, low sodium, fat free sugar free liquids. I can start purées Friday. I didn't expect to lose it all at once, but 5 pounds Is very frustrating.
  2. The hospital gave me a huge long pad to just put in place. No panties allowed.
  3. I'm one week out also. Between the pre op diet and this week, I'm down 12 pounds. I'm still having a lot of gas and nausea, but I'm getting my protein and water in. My protocol is liquids 2 weeks post op

  5. I was not as lucky. I was nauseas from the moment I woke up. I had constant episodes of gagging and wretching. They were giving me 4 different nausea meds and an antispasmodic. I wound up staying 3 nights in the hospital instead of one. On the flip side, I had zero pain and needed no pain meds at all. I was not expecting or prepared for that. Everyone is different.
  6. Mine did not approve [emoji53]
  7. I was allowed dannon light & fit vanilla for pre op.
  8. I was BMI 38, and had to do one week of liquids pre op.
  9. I am going through the same. My surgery was 6/2, and I had a rough time of it. I couldn't tolerate fluids, I was gagging and wretching. I was in the hospital for 3 nights. Today is the first day I am feeling decent. I still have some nausea, but am keeping liquids down now. I feel a little better each day, I hope you do too [emoji173]️
  10. I'm on day 4, and having a really hard time getting anything down. They kept me in the hospital 3 nights due to constant nausea and wretching. I'm at about 20 oz so far today.
  11. I had regret right after. Mostly bc of the poor reaction I had with anesthesia. Then due to that poor reaction, I stayed 3 nights in the hospital. I'm 4 days out and feeling pretty decent today
  12. On day one of my pre op liquid diet, about halfway through the day, I had the shakes and felt like I'd die. I had a square of flat bread. After that, I was 100% compliant.
  13. I am still at the hospital, so far I've been here for three nights. My nausea just won't quit, and the doctor says I'm not taking in enough fluids
  14. Well I made it through alive! So far I have had zero pain from the surgery or incisions, so taken no pain meds. However, the gas and nausea I've had is horrible. They are actually keeping me a second night because of it. Terrible wretching and gagging. BUT, I made it though the swallow test and all is well, so I'm siting here sipping my meal[emoji4]
  15. Headed to the hospital in 30 minutes [emoji4]
  16. I'm on day 7 of full liquids- surgery is tomorrow! Not sure what time yet, they will call me between 5-7PM tonight to let me know. I'm a little nervous, but so ready for the next chapter
  17. I just had my pre surgical testing and they told me no nail polish on the fingers.
  18. I was similar. My initial consult went the same. I went twice and gave up. Fast forward a year later, I was back in his office with a BMI of 38, high blood pressure and sleep apnea, and my highest weight since I was pregnant. As a yo yo dieter, I struggled for 6 months to maintain this high weight, and I did. Over that course I gained and lost the same 7 pounds. Surgery is Friday for me!
  19. I believe the brand Herb Ox does. I saw the no sodium beef broth today. I'm pretty sure they have chicken too
  20. I'm on day 4 of 7 pre op liquid diet today. I'm just trudging along. This isn't the worst, but I can't say I'm enjoying it. [emoji23] Scale shows -5 pounds today.
  21. Good luck! I have pre surgical testing tomorrow, clearance on Wednesday and surgery Friday. Yikes!
  22. Hang in there... when is your surgery? I am one week from today! Today is day one of my 7 days pre op liquid. I then have 2 additional weeks of liquids post op, before I can move on to purées.
  23. Thank you! I really hope I'm feeling as good as you are post op! I know it's a long shot, but my son is receiving a recognition that is very important to him the day after my surgery at 4PM. I am wondering if I will be able to at least attend for a few minutes. I plan to follow everything I can to the word, just as you described. (I also think to myself- I've had 3 C sections. I think I can do this![emoji4])
