  1. I can't get the calium chews down (am doing ok with muilt vitamins) and am so tried I have 0% in the energy dept and it gets worse long during the day. My left shoulder is throbbing and am having to ice it down. Am also a stay at home mom with two kids under 5 (one goes to school daily) and my husband works nights. Am getting about half the amount of Fluid and Protein I need daily. Sorry for the rant I just feel awful.

  2. Am on day 8 of my pre op diet and am so so so hungry all the time but am sticking to it. Am not talking about emotional hunger but genuine tummy rumbling hunger.

My ? Is does this go away post op? A friend swears from the start she has only been honestly hungry a hand full of times post op the surgery. I can deal with the emotional hunger but I don't know if I can go another month dealing with tummy rumbling all the time .

  3. Am on day 10 of my pre op diet (four Protein Shakes a day plus Jello and sugar free popsicles ) . If my dragon breath is any indicator am in ketosis (its so bad I gross my self out not to mention my poor husband). Surprisingly It has gotten better emotionally ,but am dead tried all the time. It's the night that's the problem.

I wait as long as I can to have that last Protein shake and I have a popsicle or jello before bed. Even with that i have been waking up around 1am with a rumbling tummy . I get up and drink as much Water as I can go back to bed only one be woken up an hour later with the same problem. This goes on until about 7am when I have my first shake.

Am now honestly wishing I had waited to see if I could lower my BMI more so I could at least have the option of eating a lean protein at night(if your BMI is 50< It's the same diet but with a lean protein at night).

  4. Hello am on day 4 of by pre op diet and it's been extremely hard , but am also down 9lbs already.

I love my dietitian but she's very regimented. She told me she hasn't had sugar in ten years ( referring to cakes Cookies etc..) and she expects the same from her patients. I know sugar can be a slippery slope but does this seem extreme to you?

A co-worker has had the sleeve lost over 200lbs (she's over three years out). She eats and exercise now but still has a cookie now and then.

Am thinking about finding another dietitian.

  5. Am on day 3 for the pre op diet and have been so depressed since starting it. Because my BMI is over 50> I have to do two weeks of nothing but Protein Shakes, sugar free Jello, water, and sugar free popsicles .

So so far I have only cheated once with a small bite of pre cooked chicken but the other day I stopped by McDonalds and ordered to chicken biscuits, but I didn't eat them . I went home and tossed them in the trash and cried . Am also having trouble falling asleep at night.

Anybody else have have these problems?
