    Lightheaded

if you have purged yourself of sugar since october then i am sure you will have a strong reaction, especially with something as sugar and carb laden as ice cream.

    Alcohol

Main thing for me is that the 71 pound weight loss i had must have made me get intoxicated with much less. It takes 2-3 drinks now and i am feeling pretty good. i drank 4 strong IPAs over a 3 hours period and was hammered.

    I hate eating out now!

I think a lot of this has to do with the "legacy way of thinking about eating". At first i had the same issue where i would stress about it and think its a waste. Then i decided to just stop worrying about it. Instead of being overly concerned about something going to waste, i just order what i want and eat what i can. If its worth taking home i take it, if not just let them take it away. Before I would think you have to eat it all, but you really dont. The servings in most restaurants are way too huge. If you dont like throwing it away, then order something that reheats well and then you can have 2 or 3 meals with it. I got the card too but never use it because i dont feel like having to explain myself, and the kids menu is usually either not good, or not healthy.

    Scared since vsg

The first couple months really sucked for me. I could only eat a tiny bit of food. Just focus on hydration and eat a little bit at a time. In my experience the first few months were a chore. Lightheaded a lot of time, it was hard to drink enough water, and a tiny bit of food made me feel uncomfortable. But as you get farther out your sleeve should heal up and expand a bit and you will feel better. You just have to adjust to your new normal. I eat more often than i did before, but i just eat less each time.

    I’m two days post op

Yeah start waling as much as possible. I was doing 2-3 miles within 4 days of surgery and it really helped get me back on my feet. I felt like an overinflated baloon before i started walking a lot.
  13. Kind or pure protein bars, but they arent really that cheap.

    Sleep Apnea test

i did in home. I told my doctors if i had to do it onsite it would be a waste of time because i would never sleep. I just barely got enough with the take home version.
  15. Im at the point now where i can eat just about anything i want. But i just dont eat a lot of it. I tend to stick with protein first, and then veg. But if i want a cheat day there is nothing stopping me from a small burger or chicken tenders or something. I just order the smallest size they have.

    Alcoholic Beverages

i drink one shot of whiskey with about 16 ounces of minute maid 15 calorie punch, lemonade or mango passionfruit and it goes fine. its easy to get a buzz, but with this mix at least i dont get super hydrated. With beer i can only do about 2-3 in a night, but it makes you feel real full. Wine gets me wasted if Im not careful because i drink it too fast.
  17. i use either sprouts brand or vega smoothie powder. Low sugar and not cloyingly sweet. Mix in the morning with cold brew coffee and skim milk and crushed ice in blender. Goes down easily.

    Dr. David Kim patients

I was going to use Kims office, but after his indictment for insurance fraud, and the surgeon of his that almost killed someone, I switched to UTSW medical. They told me that Kims office treats this surgery like a high volume in and out trype procedure and they dont recommend that. They were saying they would never recommend this to be outpatient and you should at least have one night in the hospital for observation. They had one surgeon that cut an artery on a guy and couldnt figure out was wrong so they just shipped him off to Baylor hospital. He bled out for some time and they eventually had to amputate both legs. No thanks!!
