  1. Has surgery at 6am and I'm not gonna lie... This sucks. I'm up and walking, but the pain from the gas is no bueno. I hope I start feeling better soon.
  2. Good luck to all of us 24thers! I'm calming down a bit... We got this! I have to be at the hospital at 4am tomorrow morning for my surgery at 6! Best of luck everyone!! Sending healing vibes!
  3. Thank you for your thoughts! Its comforting to know I'm not alone.
  4. Thank you for your input. I feel like it comes in waves, where I'm 100% with this decision, and then doubt comes creeping in. Possibly because my husband thinks I'm nuts for doing this and isn't super supportive. I have done meds, workouts, etc. Nothing has worked. The only time I was able to lose weight was while taking meds, but once I stopped, all the weight and then some came back on. I just keep thinking, ****, maybe all of those other times, I just haven't given it my all... but then quickly realize I've been overweight pretty much my entire life... My whole family, actually. Luckily, I don't have many health related complications other than back pain and swelling in my extremities ( I had back surgery in 2009). However, mentally, My weight has crushed me. I'm tired of hiding and always being the fat friend (I'm 236 & 5'5). I just want to be Happy. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I truly appreciate them!!
  5. I'm 4/24 and freaking too. Keep wondering if all of this is really necessary. Frustrated and feel like I should be able to do this on my own
  6. Thanks for keeping us posted! I go in on the 24th! Glad you are feeling well!
  7. Thank you for the encouragement! I'm getting past the anxious stage and I'm starting to get excited!
  8. I'm in the same boat. I can't help but question if I can do this on my own once and for for good. I suppose it may be part of the process? We got this!!
  9. Interesting! Good luck and keep us all posted!
  10. Pain meds are notorious for constipation as well. I can only imagine if you are on them post op, combined with a liquid diet that it would cause some trouble going. I hope you feel better soon!
  11. I don't have any info on Mexico, but just wanted to let you know I'm so sorry for the loss of your dad. [emoji173]
  12. I'm a newbie too, BTW. Day 2 of liquid diet...
  13. My NUT recommended Vega or Bariatric Advantage, as both have a good amount of protein and added vitamins. I'm using the vanilla BA with Almond milk and it's not bad.
  14. I'm on same. The afternoons are tough! We got this!
  15. I'm the 24th too! Yikes!!
  16. Thank you! I just can't get rid of the voice in my head that keeps telling me I should be able to do this on my own without the surgery...
  17. I'm 4/24 and freaking out a bit too!
