  1. I need to update my profile but I’m only down 50 pounds. I saw the nutritionist the other week. She didn’t have much to offer. I told her what I was eating and my typical day. She gave me some recipes and snack ideas (cuz I’m getting tired of what I’ve been eating) for a bigger variety and encouraged me to drink more Water. I’m down now about 5 pounds since our meeting so I guess that puts me at 55 pounds which is still not very much for 9 months. I’m going to start a eating log and go back to the nutritionist next year to reevaluate. I’d like to be down a total of 75 pounds by my birthday in March. Thanks for the advice

  2. I’m 9 months post-op and my weight loss has completely stopped. Not sure what I’m doing wrong. Eating every 2-3 hours. 60-80 grams of Protein daily. Drinking Water. Exercising some. My surgeon is not happy with my lack of progress. I have no answers. Is a plateau like this common after surgery or am I doing something wrong and just don’t realize it???

    HELP!!!! Any suggestions are welcomed!

    Thanks [emoji1431]

  3. The exact same thing just recently happened to me. I had my surgery on 3/29 and have been struggling to tolerate anything because of the pain. I eventually called my surgeon and had a fluoroscopy to check for leaks and etc. Luckily it didn't show any leaks or ulcers. I was told that it was probably gastric spasms and possibly some reflux. I was started on a course of steroids and antispasmodics. I felt like 100% better only after being on these therapies for 2 days. Call your surgeon! Good luck [emoji4]

  4. @courtneyd try mylanta gas minis. They are chewable and helps tremendously with the gas pains. I don't think I'm getting enough liquids in either but I think that's expected the first few days. I use a plastic medicine cup (1 oz) and sip liquids every 15 minutes which is 4 ounces per hour. That is what the nurse had me do in the hospital and I'm doing that as a guideline to keep hydrated. Keep up the good work dear!

  5. @courtneyd my pain is better but I still need meds about every 4 hours. Sipping hurts a bit but the discomfort is tolerable. Room temperature Water and Premier Protein is what I am tolerating the best. Had a sugar free popsicle a little while ago. Tasted amazing but caused some spasms in the tummy. I still weigh the same but I lost 13 pounds in 1 week!! Enjoy your walk and know that you're in my thoughts as well. #weightlosttwins

  6. Sounds like we had very similar experiences! My pain was and still a 8/10+. I was originally on morphine but that wasn't helping my pain AT ALL! So they changed me to dilaudid. I got discharged on liquid norco (which is nasty & tastes like NyQuil). I didn't have any nausea until I got home. Having to sip liquids every 15 minutes makes me sick and my tummy cramp. Gotta push through it because I don't want to be re-admitted to the hospital for dehydration.
