I am so sorry for your complications.

I had to do a 5 week long 9 total hours support group with 1st year sleeves who are not losing weight as they should.

So I have been meeting with a room full of people who have had the sleeve within the last year.

Included in that group are people who need to be resleeved as well.

It's an amazing opportunity to be around people who have the sleeve and have every reason to complain.
NONE OF THEM HAVE REGRETTED THE DECISION.

It's not to say that some people don't regret it. It's not to say that some people don't have complications. But your feelings are YOUR feelings. They are valid and real. This is the place to share your frustrations and your story. It's just not the place to share them THE WAY you are sharing them.

Your message is being communicated in a way that turns people off. That's just not a way to communicate effectively. It never works.

As to your specific issues: There are many tools to help with acid reflux. If those aren't working, find your next option... share your journey in a constructive way.

And Since you like honesty so much, I will be honest with YOU. You might have heartburn from your negative attitude. Stress kills. And being negative is stressful. That along with eating too much and the wrong thing too son leads to reflux and getting stuck... according to my 5 week long class.

If you are 3 months out, according to "the rules" you should not even be eating the foods you are complaining about not being able to eat. We learned that straying from the first year diet plan as you have IS THE CAUSE of numerous complications such as the ones you have listed.

It might be better to focus on what you have done and are potentially doing to help or hurt your situation.

I have tried to keep upbeat during my journey even though it has been through it all. Band 2009 revised to sleeve 2014 and revising to bypass in April. One thing that I do know, is if I hadn't been through this journey, I would still be diabetic. I take the good with the bad and being diabetic for me was the really really bad. My family has had both my maternal great grandmother and grandmother losing legs to diabetes, my mother is diabetic and when I was diagnosed in my 30s I wasn't having any of that. Yes I have had so many complications, but I also have my life and I am thankful for that. I am concerned that someone on this page is so adamant on not getting revised that they are trying to scare people into making decisions that are only their own to make, not their families, not truly their spouses, this decision is truly only between that person and their doctor. My spouse is supportive, my mother is not. I don't really care. I have not been diabetic since 2009 and that was my main goal!
