One reason i got the band was to be able to have a drink. I fimd i can't drink as much as before because i can't eat as much.but that's not a bad thing.

I've become a cheap date i usually eat a small bit wait 20 minutes then i have a drink that i sip for an hour and for me for every drink i have i have a glass of Water.

but that's just me

Please add me when you get a chance -100lbs in 10months - great since I was hoping to do it in the 1st year, now i have to come up with a new goal. that's ok because I get a new reward. gigi

10 months out and I'm down 100 lbs which i didn't think would happen for a year, so i am very happy with my band and myself for working out consistently. I now feel that I can reach my goal by the end of 2 years. gigi

Hi everyone hope we are all making it through. It's not easy but hopefully worthit for everyone. It has been for me I never thought i could lose 100 lbs going in even if my goal is 150. That actuall looks do-able now. gigi

I'm down 73lbs (from my highest known weight) hoping to reach 75lbs by my 6 month bandiversary(because that will be halfway to goal), but i'm so happy now, and proud of myself and of all of us

You are losing weight? "yes i am"; what are you doing, "Eating smaller eating right working out just about everyday".

If they ask further i will tell them i had lap band surgery and remind them how much difficulty i had walking wit the pain in my knees. If they are overweight i answer questions. usually i get "well keep it up you look good".

THere are some snide ones, but i pay them no mind, because as someone else said they'll be talking about me anyway - HATERS. lol.

I've gotten a collegue to see my surgeon she was so excited with my progress, so i like having helped someone along their journey. - gig

Just checking to stay accountable. This holiday season hasn't been easy for me at all. My surgeon is happy with my progress, but i liked it when i was losing faster (who doesn't). I keep reminding myself that i wanted to lose slowly and safely, and still be able to taste everything even the sweets (which i certainly have been).

but i'm back to making all my meals and drinking my Water. i've been doing well with exercise and will be starting aquasize in jan - hope i don't chicken out of that one. Gigi
