  1. Since you’re so empowered and enlightened about me personally, why don’t you feel free to cut and pasted all my posts and site the passages where I need validation? Personally I think you’re a silly person for making up lies in an effort to take pot shots at someone who obviously struck a sensitive cord. Most people want honest Info, guidance and sound advice based on experience. I’m here for them [emoji1589]
  2. I’m a very candid person. It’s been my experience in these forums that people cannot handle the truth regardless how nice one puts it. I don’t have head hunger issues. I eat when hungry, but did have some medical conditions due to pyloric stenosis. Oye! The drama is hilarious and... sad. Maybe instead of worrying and trying to correct honesty that is received poorly, one could actually read my comment and “get it” - it’s not my job to hold anyone’s hand but to be honest. A lot is left unknown online with regard to ones intent and even, meaning which leads to a lot of incorrect assumption. I rather be honest and if one person is helped by it, then I’ve done my job.
  3. My reply was not judgmental - it was honest. Perhaps was a tad too forward but it’s been my experience that if it grates on the nerves of people, it’s the truth that’s hitting home. This subject is spoken of so often, yet rarely does someone suggest a pragmatic approach -

    Concerns

It’s normal. It’s a plateau, your body will drop it, just stay on course. While you’re not losing pounds, inches are coming off. The pounds will too, eventually. Body is adjusting and will until you hit your goal.

    EZEKIEL BREAD?????

It’s the best bread out there and will make you fuller sooner than regular bread. It has more protein in it. I suggest one piece, you’ll be lucky to eat half. It’s the only bread I buy and aids in weight loss.
  6. Everybody complains about head hunger but nobody says it’s connected to food addiction, which drives the obesity, hence the surgery. Moans and groans instead of owning and taking responsibility people rather complain. People with serious head hunger issues ought to get their ass into OA or seek therapy and take control of their mind and thoughts in it. It’s that simple.
  7. NONE. Thank god I did it and I wish I did it sooner. Your dietician is a nitwit and your parents and friends are extremely unsupportive and NOT living in your body or mind, so screw them! Do what you want for you. This is your life, take control OR continue to gain weight and get bigger and have WAY worse issues down the line. F the naysayers and doubting Thomases! Take life by the balls and make it happen for you. Imagine all the good years you will have full of energy and great health. And if your friend falls off the planet because she can't handle the new confidence and energy level, so what! You'll make more [emoji6] You have my support!
  8. You can drink before eating without problems. The water goes passed the pyloric valve no problem, so isn't in your stomach. But after and during is a no go, you won't be able to eat the food you need if drinking while eating. You also run the risk of vomiting if you take on too much liquid while eating and after eating. I drink a lot before, wait two min. I will eat and take a very small sip to wet my mouth and always wait an hour after eating to resume Liquids.

Is it safe to do this 3 months out?

You're fine. Three months out that won't hurt you.

    Dumping with sleeve?

Only when I eat too fast or take too large a mouthful does this happen. Slow down, go back to eating the way you did at the beginning with small bites. Slow down. Hope it works for you!

    Going crazy and need advice

Don't increase calories. Dumb idea, you'll make yourself sick. Keep doing what you're doing, it's great! You may be retaining water if weather is warm there and you are doing light weight training which will add water to muscle at first. Also for feminine biological reasons, so try and increase water a bit and see what that does. You may want to try Ezekiel bread rather than regular bread. Ezekiel will aid in weightloss as its higher in protein.

    Annoyed....

I just eat, don't think much on it and my body does what it needs. When I focus on food I inevitably mess something up and slow my process. We are not meant to eat a lot. Proteins work, carbs work, so I personally balance back and fourth between healthy options of those two and it tricks my body. Had one stall last a month but saw what I did to break it, so I eat one way, then change if I get a hint of stall. Odd? Maybe but works for me! [emoji4][emoji1303] And if weight loss slows for a week or so, I notice it in my clothes. So I'm good ~

    Feeling empty?

What do you care if she is? Can't shut your damn yap? Just had to knock someone down a few pegs? People like you are why this forum sucks. Tired of biting my lip. Shut the f**k up if you have nothing nice to say. They can ban me if they like. You're incredibly rude.

    Not eating enough...

my doctor and the nutritionist told me the staples are healed. I think I'll take their word for it, thanks.
  15. I donate! Regaining isn't an option for me. And I don't want to toss out things other people can use.
  16. You're doing fantastic and from the sound of things, eating healthy. Keep up the fantastic work.

    Have I already ruined it??

Weight gain can be due to liquid retention and muscle build if you just started working out. Also you will lose as you lose. However, if you feel you're doing something wrong and need to change it, then do so - you are your best critic through this journey. You can't stretch your sleeve. But you can make yourself get used to larger portions, do please do measure everything, it's worth it to do so.

    Not eating enough...

You're eating enough. You're doing about what I do exactly. The empty feeling in your stomach is normal. If you eat protein in meat form or drink a premiere shake for breakfast it will go away or lessen. It takes me over an hour to get a shake down as I have the same gag propensity just smelling it BUT, we need the protein. Drink liquid and don't worry how soon after you eat. Wait an hour to drink after each meal. Don't return to just liquids, just do the shake in the morning and eat normal the rest of the day. Enjoy meat and normal foods as well. The issue with rice and pasta is that it expands in your tummy so will cause added discomfort. You're healed at 5-6 weeks from the surgery so it's not an issue to eat pasta but it still expands, hence discomfort.

    Swallowing?

On liquids you should be able to get as much as you wish into you, and you will not feel restriction. 4oz of food however is a bit much for day twelve. You should be eating 4oz 6 months out. I have noticed the softer the food is, the easier to get near 3-4 oz, but no, 4oz is a bit much. Try measuring out 4oz and eating only half.

    Water... ugh.

Crystal light won't affect the stall. The stall is your body's way of adjusting. Mine lasted two and a half weeks and some have lasted up to several months for others. You want to up protein and be patient. I drank Crystal Light and still do but alternate between that and plain water, with plain water being my main source of liquid. You shouldn't have any restriction on liquid at all. I did cut out the protein shake, which helped me, not sure how much meat you eat so feel unsure you want to cut that out. Walking more now helps, and I'm losing a pound a day. I have no issues, even eating one small scoop of ice cream with a cookie last night, and waking up a pound and a half lighter. (First and last time eating ice cream for a long time, I had no dumping syndrome.) The stalls are hard but normal. There is no dreaded "three week stall", it's just one of several plateaus you will hit. I will say you may wish to not drink crystal light due to fake sweetener that's in it, still having said that I drink it once in a while when water is too redundant. I personally don't think you ought to return to all fluids - you need to eat every three or so hours to keep your metabolism working. It's the yo-yo dieting that ruined the ability to lose to begin with. Just stick with 1-2 oz of food. Measure out 4oz, put half away and eat when you feel hungry. My doctor told me to expect a severe stall after I started solid food and that's exactly what I got. I'm down 53 pounds since May 1st. Good luck.

    Having trouble drinking

You're drinking too soon, wait an hour.

    Nuts?

I snack on ten almonds at a time and for me it's a meal. I have no issue with any food so far, and nothing is hard to eat if I take small bites and chew thoroughly.
  23. Congrats! You look beautiful! His loss! Now you're free to enjoy you without complications *Hugs*
  24. How easy it is to feel nauseous, a bit of unchewed food, or eating too fast and I foam. I was also surprised how hungry I was after starting solid food, I found out protein solves it. I was surprised how fast and pain free, how soon I could walk and how often, AND that water soon became easy to drink normally without restriction.
  25. I have no room for carbs sadly, maybe one bite a few times a week. Most of what I eat is protein.
