I understand what your experiencing. I also emotionally eat, but what I do even more than eat wrong foods is eat foods fast.
This week, I have been trying to rescue kittens in my apartment complex that will be abused here, and the stress has made me eat too fast. Twice I got a "Knot" in my band area. I could feel the food stuck. I've never done that before.
It's so very hard to break these habits.

Hey all,
Is it just me or does the office seem TOO busy these days? Is it because one of the other doctors left? I know there was three and now it's just Bertha and Abkin.
-
Hi all,
I'm in central-northern NJ and also Dr. Abkin's patient.

Justy, I know EXACTLY what pain your talking about.
It's so bad, nothing else matters and you can't do anything but be with the pain. I never had a child, but I always said that if I can go through those gallbladder attacks, I can go through anything.
They did not find stones in mine either, when that first started.
Then, my pancreas became compromised from the gallbladder disease and it came out. That is serious business and I was lucky no permanent damage was done. I have heard of people who get chronic pancreatitis from such things and that is a horrible disease.
Turns out there was so many stones, my doctor said he could have paved a driveway with it. 150 stones. It was distended, scared and just a mess, he said.
Since then, I have not had one of those horrible "attacks"..thank god.
You really become religious and get close to whatever higher power your associated with during those attacks...hehehe

Mine has never recovered fully, no matter what I do.

I can understand that your embarrassed, but don't sell those tickets. Chances are, those people will be very gracous and humorous about it.
Who cares what they think?? Life is too short to keep you and your hubby from having fun for people who you won't know in a few months time.

Steve's truck on it's final journey...
[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GlI_JmIHs9E]YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.[/ame]
My boyfriend didn't know it was coming on, and for an hour before he kept saying "what's wrong". I knew I had to prepare myself to watch this.
Terry with her sunglasses on the whole time told me how bad off she is. You just KNOW why she is wearing those.
The man singing said he had trouble holding it together during this. He also said the guy driving it was the guy trying to revive Steve at the time of his death, and that this man was crying as he piled the things on the truck, and that made the singer almost not able to sing.
I said to my boyfriend after it, as we were blowing our noses (I swear I couldn't even breath out my nose I was bawling so hard) that people tend to forget and move on, I would haate to see this zoo and Steve's conservation projects go down the tubes.
THAT would be a real tragedy to come out of all of this.
I want to shout out to people to not let that happen.

Wildlife Warriors and his zoo is the place to contribute if you feel the same way.

I lost the expected amount at 3 months out. I'm told this is normal. I do Zinc and a generic Nixon Shampoo. I seemed to go back to normal. Then a couple a months ago, I really started losing hair again. I went to my Dr. and found out my hormones were out of wack (which believe me I had already noticed). She said any hormonal changes can also cause Hair loss. I'm told that losing fat cells releases a lot of stored hormones. If you're losing extra hair, you may want to get your levels checked or talk to your Dr. It's helped me. I was thinking of braiding my own bathroom rug. There was so much hair down there.Hi,
I'm told it's hormones for me too, but they have not given me anythign to help. Did they give you any meds?

Hi Alex, Yes close it. I edited because I could see where it this was heading.
My intention was to discuss how we can create a lively, but supportive and informative atmosphere and debating without being argumentitive, not create any more drama. I

My posting this was to open up discussion, and it was not negative at all. I asked what other's thought, opinions, etc.
I guess we can't have civil discussion either?
I was simply expressing my own opinion. My saying to you;"clearly you need to get around more"---now THAT would be a negative.

I agree with both of you that this is not a perfect board nor a perfect world and it's not all fairy dust.
Rants & Raves, anything goes, but I'm talking more about outside of R&R.
Personally, I can handle it, I' can tell someone to you know what. But there are more sensitive souls, or newbies posting and not expecting to have to dodge a bullet. Me, I'll do a Matrix move on their arse. :-p
It just stinks. I have to admit, I'm more annoyed at reading posts here than I used to be, reading people getting hurt, angry, etc. so I visit less often, which is why I brought up the subject.
But I know, you can regulate people or force people to be nice.
And I agree Carlene, you can get your point across to someone without being an ass about it. Tact, my mom always said. ;-p

WAY TO GO JoJo!! Good on you!!!
I'm SO GLAD you did that. Because not only does actions like that have a ripple effect in society, but you feel better having done it.
How many of us are madder at ourselves for not saying or doing anything after the moment is gone? I know for one I get more upset with myself for not standing up for myself and that lingers.

That is horrible. I'm so sorry :-(

i thought it was from smoking for 15 years!!sometimes it happens when i drink something that 'sits' in my pouch for a minute. i will cough and spit out a yucky ball of mucus.
its NOT like 'slime' the mucus that you produce from getting stuck its like something you 'cough up' when your sick. thats why i thought it was smoking related.
Exactly! That is what mine is like. ANd i don't smoke.
Keep us updated please!
ANd yes, like you I hate that the doctors don't really know.

Exactly JoJo. This is not what he would have wanted, and in fact it would be something that he would have cried over. It would have brought him to tears.
I was afriad this would happen (about the stingrays) I hope they put a stop to it. Poor things.
People are such idiots, really. I'm sorry, but the idiocy that the human race can demonstrate never ceases to amaze me.

leenerbups,
after everymeal i usually cough and spit out some mucus. this happens if i have restriction or not. i thought it was from having a smokers cough. its pretty gross.

Hey all,
I need to get into the jacuzzi, this weather has me aching. Is it okay to submerge ? (i.e. infection)
I just had my second fill today.
