    Bird Stuck in my Wall!

You'd be amazed at how many people I contacted and how they didn't care to help "for just a bird". We are alone in this one. I'll try shining the light more.

    Bird Stuck in my Wall!

Hi all. We tried to cut a small hole, and peered in, but we can't hear the bird any longer. So we don't know where to cut the holes.:-( DO you think it's dead already (this happened this morning)or just quiet for the night? I'm so upset I ate a second dinner.

*SCARED* I have a stretched pouch...

Another question, my throat feels dilated. This weird "Open" feeling in the back of my throat. I am assuming this is esophagus dilation? Has anyone else ever had that feeling? I think I still may be eating too fast. If I continue to slow down will it go away?

    Going to The ER

From what I have learned, the nerve related to the stomach refers to the left shoulder (the gallbladder to the right shoulder)

*SCARED* I have a stretched pouch...

A question for all. How much do you have to overeat to have the puch stretched? I was way to full yesterday and panicked too. Malice, I hope you get answers, I would go for the unfill rather than risk re-surgery or losing the band.
  9. Hello Bandlarians! I'm 6 weeks post op and wondering if I should schedule my first fill. I can pretty much eat any kind of food, about 1 1/2c in volume and my weight loss has slowed to an almost stop. Thanks for suggestions and advice.

    Going to The ER

Me too. I still find I eat too fast and then get that ache in my left shoulder. I have not lost any more weight in a month. Doctor want me to wait and see if the weight does not start to budge again before getting a fill.

    Breast Biopsy

SO sorry to hear you have this worry. Most of the time it is benign. Fibroids etc that get worse with periods and caffiene. I am also having a biopsy done in a few weeks, but of my uterus. So I pray for you too as I can relate to how frightening it is. I JUST READ THE REST OF THE THREAD, I had just read the first post..lol YIPPPEEE!! Great feeling when it's nothing!! Good for you for being so vigilant about your breat exams.

    hOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

No Tidge, your not alone! Just take it slow. I was on liquids for an extra week than other people and mushies for an extra TWO WEEKS than everyone else. We just are more swollen than the next person. Also, time your bites. Put the fork down 30-60 seconds and make those bites small. It will help with the pain and speed the swelling to go down. Good news is you may be like me and not need a fill for a while because of being naturally tight.

    Acid Reflux Question

Thanks to all of you. I had GERD AND gastritis before the band, and have always taken the prescription antacids to prevent further damage. Part of the reason I had the surgery was to get my weight down so I could hopefully get off of it. My GERD did not start until I hit 200 lbs, but I have always had gastritis.

    pain pain pain : (

How long have you been out of surgery? I felt like that for 2 months out. And it happens still because I was eating too fast. (or too much) Before banding I shoveled huge amounts in. SO I thought I was slowing down (by MY standards) but it was not slow enough for the band. What worked for me is actually timing mouthfulls. I would put the fork down and wait 30 seconds or a minute between bites. I had to time myself because I had no clue was "band slow" was.

    hOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

Tidge, your welcome, check this thread out, maybe something in it will be of help: http://www.lapbandtalk.com/showthread.php?t=16524 Hi Chabutter! After the liquid phase, I lived on veggie Soups, mashed potatoes, refried Beans and Protein drinks. I used a new lactose free milk called Skim Plus, because it has twice the protien. hOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

Hey Tidge, I'm over two months out and that pain has just gone away recently. It was bad for the first month. I was very swollen and my stomach yelled more than the next person I guess. But I will get that pain even now if I eat or drink too fast and two much. Counting 30 seconds to a minute between bites/sips helped as did antacids.

    Art work and their artists

oh my gosh, DonnaB...that is amazing. I've very much into that myself. (not the making, but the wearing) Your stuff is really good. I'm just amazed at Josie and Plunderbunny's talent too. Here is some of my artwork. I paint in oils and make prints and jewelry out of it too. I'm also doing a portrait for Jimmy Page. It's not finished though. (Gah..still trying to get the images smaller. ...)

    Had my gastroscopy....

desertmom, I'm so sorry to hear about this happening to you. I understand your wanting to keep the band to lose the weight you need, but please don't jeaporidize your health for it. I'm concerned about the placement of the band in your body. I hope you get answers to your abdomenal pain. Is it high or low etc?

    Acid Reflux Question

Gah! This really stinks. I've always had gastritis and acid reflux problems pre-band and now that band doctor doesn't want me on them, I'm in a lot of pain. Anyone else go on Acid Blockers long term after banding? Or pre-banding? I picked up the Prilosec OTC, Gaviscon too but it doesn't seem to be doing much. Any suggestions?

    Bad Mid Back Pain

Hi All, I'm 6 weeks post op now. Had some rough times at first and have lost 19 lbs. I and am experiencing really bad mid back pain. Feels like a muscle pull but it's everyday. From the "bra line" up to the wing bone area. Like a band of pain from one side to the other. It seems to be happening along with eating. It comes on late in the day, is worse at night (after a day of eating) and is gone by morning. It's really only started since going on solids. Anyone experience this?? I called the doc this morning but he is in surgery.

    Going to The ER

Thanks Decarla. I'm sorry you have that. I have read about it before. I have no idea how it got there, but it's freaking me out. I have a phobia about not being able to breathe and I hope I don't have some progressive lung problem. I worked for years in a cocktail lounge so I wonder if that is it? I also have very bad bronchitis one year as well. We do have new neighbors that moved into the apartment downstairs and they are heavy smokers. The smoke comes into our apartment and I have had to places fans, filters around and towels at the doors to block it out.
