It wants out as much as you want it out. Try to capture it in a shoebox and then throw the lid on it quickly and take it outside. It's probably starving so using somethung they would eat as bait would be good. too. I never kill something if I can get it outside. They are just trying to make a living too, you know? Plus, I just feel strange killing something alive with no thought about ending a life, no matter how small.

Hi T.O.M I'm glad it's nothing really serious. I hae gastritis, pretty badly. I've had it since I was in my 20's though. A Pepcid every day seems to help keep it in control. Aloe vera juice soothes the stomach mucousa lining and believe it or not, charcoal capsules. I don't think it ever goes away. Certain things really trigger it. Mine are peppers, onions, tomatos, ice cream, chocolate and coffee. Some days tea can do it too.Try to notice what it is for yourself.

What was your surgical experience like? Stories Welcomed

Here is a link to my lapband journal about my day. http://www.lapbandtalk.com/journal.php?do=showentry&e=416&enum=13 -
Hi all, I need words of wisdom or harsh language, or both. I ate 2 HUGE pieces of cake today in a half hour. My food intake and habits are going back to what they were. I am under a lot of stress right now. I am in training and also going for surgery on Tuesday to see if I have uterine cancer. I am also unfilled and am scheduled for the first fill in mid July due to insurance rules.

Thanks to all of you. I really appreciate your comments. And your right, if it isn't in the house, I can't eat it. To bring a cake into this house is like an alcoholic having a bottle off vodka in the house. I had SF pudding with light cool whip tonight. :-)

I heard about this too. I've always been fascinated with origins, ancestry, DNA and geneology.Oprah was talking about it on her show. She said she found out what tribe in Africa her people were from and found it fascinating. The Zulu tribe. I wish i could afford to do it. I'm sure most of us would be surprised at what is in our dna!

Sound Off -- Foreign Object in Yo' Belly
NeenBand replied to Randi's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Yes, It freaked me a bit before my banding and it didn't go away after. It's still weird to me. Sometimes I'll be driving or something random and I will suddenly think to myself that I have a band wrapped around my stomach and a port in my side. Sometimes my thoughts go to it and wonder if it's eroding or something like that. Negative thinking I know. But I'm human. -

Am I just fooling myself, not sure I can do this
NeenBand replied to hay4943's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I totally understand where your coming from hay. I felt and thought the same way. In fact , even though I was approved, it took a year of research, going to LB support groups , thinking and reading forums like this before I had my surgery. I finally decided to do it when I packed onanother 20 lbs, joined WW 2 times during that and started having trouble breathing, walking and washing myself. I knew then I needed help and it wasn't a diet. Yes, i still have trouble with my choices. The band is not magic and the same addiction I had pre band I still have with band. But it really is helping me. Take as long as you need to to come to the decision. Attend support groups, etc. -
oh my god, this is too funny...only in America. These people in Alabama think they have seen a Leprechaun http://www.ebaumsworld.com/videos/leprechaun-in-tree-part-1.html My favorite line: "who else seen the leprechaun say "yeayy!" rofl

I'm reading Snowflower and the Secret Fan. Excellent read, it's fiction but accurately describes the way of life for Chinese women in the last century. The foot binding is an experience to read about. Very well written and a great story.

I need help.:help: I've always bolted down my food. I'm having a real problem slowing down my eating. I'm afraid of stretching my pouch, I'm so afriad I'm going to lose my band or cause esophagus problems. But even knowing that I eat too fast. It's like I get that food in front of me and can't slow it down. I'm also scared because I can't control how fast I eat. I try to slow down, but sometimes I'm so hungry tha I can't. I don't have a fill yet, but I do have restriction. Help.:help:

Thanks to everyone with the tips!! I'm looking forward to getting a first fill because for some reason, all of a sudden this week I have "opened up" and can eat everything like before. It's becoming a struggle to hang onto the weight I have lost.

Prayers for your husband that the surgery is easy and totally successful. We ask that this surgery's recovery be swift and start him on the road to better health. Thank you God, already done. Amen.
