    successful sleevers?

Well I am far from disillusioned, I read a 5 year study about regain and WLS patients. I have every intention of utilizing my sleeve to help me continue to lose & maintain. There are many people who are successful and they are further out than you. Everybody's journey is different. I would enoucrage any interested in WLS to look at success stories as well as those who didn't make it to where they wanted to.

    successful sleevers?

I am just glad I made this choice for myself. No matter what I did before I couldn't stop eating and was never full. My stomach was a bottomless pit haha. This surgery is merely a tool & I have already made major changes to my lifestyle at only 9 weeks out. Seeing myself physically change is just an incentive. I also have regular bowel movements

I weigh less than 200 pounds!!

congrats to you. I almost cried when I weighed in 180s today, haven't seen that since 6 years ago. I was able to wear my red onsie which is 1x, it was collecting dust for years lol. Cheers to the wins!

    Carbonated beverages?

I watched lady on yt who is 4 or 5 years out and she drank soda everyday and stretched her stomach out and had umbelical hernia and now has to have rny to correct the weight issues. I'm sure one small cup won't hurt but I wouldn't make it a habit, gl.

    Did you tell people?

I didn't tell but two coworkers. It's definitely obvious now I'm down 43 pds in 9 weeks. Ur only one person asked me if I had wls.
  13. I am 26 in four months and I did it! There are plenty , hundreds of people who did it in teens & 20s. I read about a 2 year old having it done overseas (not that I agree with it). You have to do what's best for you. It's a great tool.
  14. I went through a two week stall after week two...I can drink two gulps of water without pain...I'm down 43 lbs in 9 weeks. Your body has gone through huge change, also some lose slower than others, which can be a good thing. Losing weight super fast can cause stones.

    hello

Apparently gerd/reflux is pretty common with sleevers, some will end up doing a revision because the reflux gets so bad for them. I have heard of people who had heartburn and it gets better or goes away totally. I would suggest picking best choice for you. Each procedure has pros and cons

    hello

Hi Sammy! I am 25 and had the sleeve done. I was 235 pds and am only "4'11" this was my last hope for a somewhat healthy life. I am down 43 pds since my surgery 9 weeks ago. I have had heart burn at times but that's when I forgot my ppi. Still struggling with energy but this is such a huge adjustment for the body. I knew this was my last option. I would lose 40 and gain 45 back, yoyoed for years. My weight was also to much due to my height but it was an issue until 7 years ago. I feel like I get a second chance now not to mention I can't wait to shop for new clothes😸

    Slippage of sleeve

And that was why I choose sleeve , I was researching band for while. I picked my best option& am happy. I heard of people getting gerd with bypass also, even people without wls get it

    Slippage of sleeve

I had no idea about the gerd or anything, I would have done something reversible like lap and if I had enough known, but what's done is done
