How long was hospital stay?
Was told 2 days, but was sent home after 1 since I was up moving around, having no problems and could keep fluids down. It surprised me, but I was fine!

Anyone from the New Jersey area?
Yes, me too! Adore him and the entire staff. Consider going to the support groups. They are fab and helpful and friendly. If you do, msg me so I know to say hello!

what is your ht/wt and clothing size?
Thanks for the pic! You look fab. Helps me to visualize, as I'm the same height.

Post Surgery Tastebuds Changes: tell me yours
For me, it's aftertaste where my issue has been these last 7 weeks. I'm much more aware of aftertaste...like with different waters, etc. My tastes haven't changed otherwise, but I do find that while I adore Greek Yogurt, sometimes just the thought of yogurt now makes me go NOPE. Maybe it's the thicker texture, not sure. Hope that passes soon, miss having it.

Issues 6 Days Out
Smooth Moves tea made a world of difference for me during these first 6 weeks after surgery. I'm good now, but if things back up, I'll have a cup of Smooth Moves tea once a week or so, in the morning....life is moving again. After trying everything else, I've found my answer!

Surgery date: October 17...Is 1 day in the hospital enough?
I was booked for 2, but they sent me home a day early because I was up moving around, and didn't have problems with drinking liquid. I was nervous, but ended up being fine.

Gingerrose, I was at Hunterdon also, just a few weeks before you. I hope your experience was as good as mine! Everybody was fabulous and so helpful.

Gastric Bypass and Diabetes
Hang in there. I'd heard most people were off meds before leaving the hospital. I was on 100 units of insulin prior to surgery. I was able to drop it to 20 units when leaving...but it took a full month to get off it completely. I am now off of it. I worried also, but it just took me a wee bit longer is all. What a joyful day that was to hear the news that I wouldn't need it.

Counting weight loss from pre-op vs. Post-op
I start from my high weight - the day I walked into their office, etc. I had a six month process, and thirty of these pounds came off during that time.

A bunch of woman's clothes for sale from 20-32
I play on hitting eBay, Poshmark, and thrift stores during some of the stages. I can't wait to enjoy shopping for clothes. It's been such a long time.

Ladies: The Body differences when you are slimmer
I just had surgery in Aug, but my best friend had it about 18 months ago. The other day, we were on Skype and I was like...OMG, your collar bones! I never noticed them before...

Ladies: have you noticed changes in your flow?
Mine are spot on. My GYN said they should hopefully get lighter as I lose weight...since they are so heavy usually. I can't wait for a lighter period! My tubes are tied (cough, and I'm 50), so can't help with other info.
