    why no soda??

I think having him sniff a used tampon is a bit much, I would suggest have him take a whiff of your armpits after a good sweaty workout, maybe that would remind him of exactly what you're doing and why you don't really want to be his taste-tester. As long as he's supportive of you who cares what he eats and drinks, what he consumes is his issue anything worth doing is Never easy [emoji3]

    why no soda??

I was told the same thing in regards to the gas (carbonation) from soda having the chance to stretch the pouch, but it also would depend on how much a person would drink of it, have never been a huge soda fan in the first place But have always enjoyed Seltzer water, am at this point 11 months post op and every now and then I'll pour a glass of soda take a couple of sips and just not want any more, same thing with the Seltzer., Was trying to have Seltzer as a way to get in the water because I'm one of the many people who just can't stand plain water., So I have been using the crystal light single serves to add to my water bottles. Also am not huge on most juices but depending on which one you drink, they are very high in sugar. I was told by my Dr that I'm far enough post op that using a straw should not be an issue at this point. Good luck to everyone and anything you are unsure of, ask your Dr's first, but if you want those second opinions we can help. anything worth doing is Never easy [emoji3]

    Seeking Buddies 5'2" & Under

Hi everyone! I'm also in what seems like a stall, have been floating in the 160's since October, one day I'm down a couple of pounds and the next it seems they never left, but I haven't eaten anything that would cause this, I also think my scale is funky because I can weigh myself and move the scale a couple of inches and moving it either added or took away almost 10 lbs...Anyone dealing with a funky scale? Btw, just replaced my scale with a digital that allows programming for weight, water and body fat ( had a dial type model) and both change in the same way..,am a little confused and lost about the shifting weights anything worth doing is Never easy [emoji3]

11 months post-op and looking for buddies

I have asked my bf to walk with me but I feel like he makes excuses, he's a foot taller than me and insists that he walks at a pace that I wouldn't be able to keep up with, I almost feel sometimes that he's trying to sabotage me anything worth doing is Never easy [emoji3]

11 months post-op and looking for buddies

I think that also what makes it harder for me is that I eat the proper portions and then about a half an hour to 45 minutes late it I actually feel hungry, before my surgery the doctor said I would never feel like I was starving again but within 45 minutes of eating that's exactly how I feel is as if I'm starving so that doesn't really add to me making progress but just because I feel hungry I don't always eat it's hard though not to give in, of course there is some cases when I do give in and it's a little bit of ice cream or a pudding pack but usually I try something healthy like a couple of Triscuits or a banana or some peanuts but can't do have those if they are not in the house anything worth doing is Never easy [emoji3]
  6. Just wondering if anyone has experienced a change in the appearance of their tattoos due to the surgery to remove excess skin. I had my VSG on April 18, 2016 with a pre-surgery weight of 219 and am currently at 160 (still 40#'s) away from my goal of 120 so I still have time before I talk to a plastic surgeon, just curious of anyone's experiences. Thanks all, and congrats to everyone on your progress and results

Excess skin removal = altered tattoos?

Thank you all for your responses, since I haven't yet spoken to a PS I don't know exactly where the surgeon would be working and it is a rather large tattoo so covering or altering it is an option though not inexpensive, but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it, I have to focus on reaching my goal first and take time after that to decide what I want to do, even though I would love to have it removed I guess I'll see what the surgeon says they can do when the time comes. Thanks again everyone!

    Hey Short Ladies!

Was just a thought, am not quite 4' 11" myself and live on a very limited income which is why I hem my pants/slacks at home otherwise I have rolled a cuff of half the length of the pant leg and it's so thick it looks like I'm wearing ankle weights..,lol. Well I wish you luck in finding affordable, comfortable and stylish pants capris and all of the above that fit your needs (being vertically challenged [emoji6])

Burping and even liquid feels stuck!

Are you maybe swallowing what you are eating or drinking a little too quickly for your body to take? Maybe also eating/drinking too quickly?, I try to take at least a half an hour for either a meal or a drink (am almost 11 months post op VSG) and I still get that feeling on the rare occasion.

    Hey Short Ladies!

What about buying a pair that may be a little too long and take them to be hemmed at a tailor or dry cleaner? I know it's not free but it is an option., I hem my pants at home without a sewing machine, not perfect but it works

    4 months post-op-stopped losing weight

Don't forget when your body gets used to a certain workout the n you may slow down with your loss, keep changing your workout every few days so your body doesn't know what's coming next it will keep you losing..,of course you can alternate your workouts so you don't go crazy trying to create new ones all the time but I personally would suggest changing your routine every few days.Good luck and don't get discouraged, no matter how much we want it and how hard we work for it, nothing happens overnight

Excess skin removal = altered tattoos?

Thanks everyone, I guess my main concern regarding tattoos is due to the large one on my back, it goes from my mid-back to partly down my cheeks taking up just short of half of my back., It's not my only tattoo but the one I'm more curious about possibly changing.
