  1. The dreaded 3-week stall strikes again!!!! Only weighing once a week, jumped right on this morning hoping to see a nice size loss.....only a .3 weight loss??? How can that be?? My calorie intake is only about 400-500? The Laws of logic don't match up. Bummed. [emoji20]

From what I have read it is just your body getting used to the new calorie intake/ lifestyle (I could be completely wrong), I know the feeling of the stall and it's heartbreaking but when it's over you're more motivated then ever

  2. I lost weight with just walking. I didn't go to the gym. Did the odd yoga class.
I have regular DEXA scans and I lost very little muscle, like 3 pounds, which the Dr told me was normal just because you don't need as much muscle to carry less weight around.
I kept my Protein over 100 grams a day though, if you are living off 60 grams of protein and not working out, you are going to lose muscle.

If you just want to drop weight fast, you drop weight faster not exercising. There are a lot of studies on the lack of effectiveness of exercise for weight loss. Google and do your own research.

I have done my own research and wanted the opinion from others that can relate [emoji4] thanks

  3. Hey everyone,

I was just wondering if you could tell me what a stall is. I know it's when you stop losing weight for a period of time but how long does it last and how did you get through it?

I'm a very impatient person and I get a lot of anxiety when I'm not losing weight because I'm doing everything right and I'm just getting frustrated.

    Xx

  4. It's just your body being wonkey. Most people go into a stall at around 3 weeks post op, and with that a little gain can happen. You starting to workout is part of it too, I'm sure. Stay the course, don't stress and stay off the scale for a while if it's going to stress you out. The first month or so is healing time and making sure you're getting your Protein and fluids. The weight loss will follow, I promise. I've yet to see someone stop losing weight at 3 weeks out after their initial first stall.

Thank you so much, this has helped a lot xx :)

  5. Hello!

I have recently gained weight and I'm only 3 weeks out of surgery, I have been at the gym for the past week and I've been eating all the correct foods so I'm confused as to what is going on and getting quite worried.

    Any help would be amazing

    Thanks
    Xx
