I got a call on a Monday that I would have to take a nicotine test in 2 weeks from that date so after the call I didn't smoke another cig I ran to vape store immediately and got Omg for my vape.... otherwise I was never a heavy cigarette smoker but I also vapped 6mg or 9mg liquids trying to slow down cause I knew I would have to take the test... anyway I passed on 2 weeks of 0mg and just got my approval and surgery date of June 13th

I have quit smoking cigs for 2 1/2 weeks now but I vape 0mg nicotine.... it hasn't been awful I don't vape a lot but just when I'm really needing a little something. And it's 0mg nicotine just butterscotch flavor. I'm still waiting on my nicotine test to come back.. I took it 3/15... I've been checking online for results non stop lol once they receive results then the surgeon will send off my paperwork.. I was never a heavy smoker though to begin with

I Vaped 0mg in order to pass my nicotine screen and then stayed at 0mg for 6 weeks after surgery then went back up to my original 3mg. I had been vaping for years before surgery though.

Yes I switched to 0mg and haven't had a cig since and I actually enjoy it! I worry if I'll pass my nicotine test though... how long did yours take to come back? I took it Monday

I feel at a point where my minds getting strayed away. I also am a smoker and not sure when to quit I have it in the back of my mind but I'm also feeling like my insurance will deny me cause I've gained.... I've wanted this surgery so bad for my health and for my children. I love food and my treats and I worry I'll never be able to have them again uhhh sorry just needed to vent! Anyone else feel this way so close to end

After some advise and help please. I am getting the VSG in Decmeber and I'm trying to get myself in the best physical shape I can so the surgery will hopefully go smoothly. I am a self pay patient in Australia so i don't have any weightloss requirements before the surgery goes ahead, but I just want to make my body as ready for this as it can be. I'm 5'8 and 375lbs and trying to hopefully get down to 350lbs for surgery. I've been tracking my food and activity with my Fitbit and I'm averaging 1000+ cal deficits everyday for a month. The thing is I'VE GAINED WEIGHT!! [emoji24][emoji34] This ALWAYS happens when I try to lose weight and it's so discouraging. I feel like an utter failure and now I'm wondering if I should even have the surgery. How will I manage to lose weight after surgery and keep it off if I can't do this now? Did anyone else have this trouble before surgery? I dont know anyone else who has had any weightloss surgery so I can't ask anyone else these questions. Thank you for your time.
I am in the EXACT same boat I have to drop 10 in 2 weeks and I'm so fusturated and thinking if I should go through with all this [emoji51][emoji51]
