  1. Wishing that all goes according to what and when you want. I've been weighed at every single Drs appt (5 in all), and my weight has a 9 lb difference depending on which scale I get on. I'm going by my new scale at home and I'm happy with that. It's an expensive one that measures bmi, etc. Plus my true weight without clothes and boots is my true weight as far as I'm concerned. ?

  2. I'm 67 years old and looking forward to my surgery date. I'm told I probably have about a 2 month wait until everything lines up and insurance gives the go ahead. Until then, I'm slowly eliminating my trigger foods, takong re recommended supplements, reducing intake to at least half my usual amount. I like Premier Protein shakes and taking 2 a day. Lots of Water, which is easy for me as that's my go to when thirsty. I'm committed to doing what it takes to embark on this journey. I'll be there for you as I know you'll be there for me. Reach out and share...

  4. Thanks for all the comments. It helps to know that I'm not alone. I'm 67 years young and 100 lbs overweight. I've gone from a chubby teen with a nice smile and great personality to a mother/grandmother who prided myself in being full figured and curvaceous. But the truth finally has me saying that I'm morbidly obese and will not live to see my grandchildren reach their dreams. So, I'm in the testing preop phase of my journey. Every day I focus on what I need to do, have patience, be humble enough to ask for help and listen to what works. My faith will be a strong force for me through this. I'm a pro at dieting...I now want to be a grateful woman who is blessed to have found what I need to live life. All that I've read by everyone has helped me. And maybe I can pass along to someone else the gift I have received.

  5. Hi Jessica, my life changed after using cpap for sleep apnea. The first morning I woke up rested, truly rested, I cried with joy! I'm in preop testing and go for sleep study on March 3rd. Even though there's all these new Drs I'm meeting, I feel that I'm addressing all health issues as a result of my obesity. I'm hopeful, I also nervous about the fasting before and after. As long as I'm not hungry, I'll be ok. You'll be ok. Good luck, girl.
