  1. Hey, I'm still on full liquids and I have zero (0) recipes but I have tons of Protein shakes and every strained creamy Soup I can imagine. I'll be following this post to see if anyone has ideas to make my last week of this phase more bearable! Congrats on your sleeving

    Struggling

I'm at the same stage you are where all I dream about is food and sitting down to yet another shake or another strained Soup makes me actually cry. I hope it gets better for both of us really soon <3

    Just saying hi!

@IssaSnack with Protein I do tend to hit my goals, almost entirely thanks to Protein shakes and unflavored Protein powder that I put in Soup Water I'm not as good with, almost never hitting 64 ounces, but I get close only because I use a whole bunch of flavors of crystal light. Plain water is not my thing at all. I can't wait to get out of liquids! I also plan to get that fitbit, I don't have one yet, but I want one. I can't have food, so I should get to have cool new toys. Lol

    Sick of sweet

I've definitely been doing Soups with Protein powders and unjury chicken Soup, but I agree with some of the previous posters that even that starts to get sickening. Five days for me until purees...ugh.
  5. I suppose they technically could deny you still if they feel like it, but they approved me on the first go around Good luck!

    Just saying hi!

Hi guys! I walked 2.2 miles today so I'm proud of that. 16 pounds down in 16 days since the surgery, so I guess being miserable is worth it Keep me updated on your progress!
  7. I was actually a scrawny little kid. My weight problem began when I hit puberty. I had a couple of nice years where I had just enough weight on me to be curvy and desirable, but by the end of high school I was obese.
  8. I had to have 6 months supervised diet. It was a pain but I lost some so that was good
  9. I love this post, it's so funny! Congrats and keep up the good work inspiring new post-ops like me
  10. I'm nearing the end of week 2! My favorite foods have definitely been the Soups too. I've had cream of chicken, tomato, cheddar cheese, and butternut squash that were all thin and liquidy, They're a savior because I have to drink so much of the sweet Protein shake and I crave savory like I never have. Tomorrow I should have my unflavored Protein Powder delivered so I can put it in the soup and not have to rely so much on the Protein Shake.

    Hydration issues

I pretty much hate drinking plain Water unless I'm truly thirsty (it's hot, I've been active) so pretty much everything I've had has been diet snapple or water with crystal light. And even then I'm still only managing to get to just over 40 ounces! It's really tough, it feels like I have to be drinking every second of the day and that's just not comfortable. But I have done better since getting more variety of flavors.
  12. I definitely felt like I was hauling around a baby belly for the first few days. That still happens sometimes if my day is busy. I think it's normal, but definitely annoying!
  13. Thanks for the replies, everyone! I guess I'm not doing too bad. I'll just keep getting stronger and farther each day
  14. Hi all! I'm 9 days post sleeving and I am trying to make a concerted effort to get out walking every day, but I was wondering about how far/long I should be walking at this stage in the game. Today I walked about three quarters of a mile and started to feel a little tired. I hope that's not pathetic
  15. Sleeved 2/9. I'm on full liquids for another week and a half or so and I'm dreading it--so sick of Protein shakes and boring soup! I think I'll be really excited to get that egg. Lol. I still get a little gas pain, not really much incision pain except the one in my bellybutton. However, one of my little incisions that was covered with glue seems to have leaked onto my ab binder, which kinda freaked me out I also dream about pizza, but oh well! Haha
  16. Hi guys! I'm new. I'm just a week post-op and I think all things considered, I'm doing pretty well! The thing I've noticed is by the afternoon every day, my belly above my navel becomes swollen and sore. This always reduces overnight and comes back. I was just wondering if that's okay and how long it will last Thanks!

    Tummy swelling

Warm prune juice sounds like torture but worth a try.
  18. I was using Atkins shakes before my surgery, so I think I'll try to use them up, but I don't think they're as high in Protein as many of the other recommended Meal Replacements, so I also ordered another Protein powder. But that's just me

    Tummy swelling

Thanks for the responses guys! I think I will consult with doc re: gas and constipation and pick up some gas-x. I also went back to work Day 4 post-op, so I'm glad I'm not the only crazy one

    Just saying hi!

Hey to both of you! @kkami12, I'm currently pretty much eating nothing but Protein shakes and Soup and I just want more all the time, so I feel that pain. I'd give my left hand for a slice of pizza @Thejeweledsleeve, let me just say that the first four days or so were pretty hellish, but the last three days up to now have been (knock on wood) pretty decent. Well, let me rephrase. The day of surgery, I was on cloud nine still coming off from anesthesia. Lol. But the day after I felt absolutely awful. It does pass though.
