  1. The Oikos Triple Zero drinkable yogurt would be suitable.
  2. My NUT just told me that she doesn't want me having any alcohol until 6 months out, so I don't have a good answer to your question yet
  3. I like the regular Cadbury chocolate eggs...but luckily, like you, I walk right by them now.

    Unjury protein

I wasn't a fan of their sweet flavors. I did like the soup (if I could get it to come out without lumps, which was a crap shoot), and the unflavored one can come in handy.
  5. At 9.5 weeks out, I seem to be hovering in the same five pound range for the last two weeks I do NOT like stalls!
  6. I personally take calcium citrate soft chews from the celebrate vitamins online store.

    Time off work

I was only able to take 4 days, but I would have loved a week. -sigh-
  8. I felt that too, somewhat. Do you have an abdominal binder? I found that helped me.

    Scared to Eat

When I advanced to purees, I had no problem with the ricotta bake, but I should note that I didn't start on purees until three weeks out.
  10. Having to get off a rollercoaster in front of a ride full of people because the staff couldn't get the restraints down all the way was pretty humiliating.

Smart Ones for Soft Food Stage

Did you try the eggface Ricotta Bake yet? It was a lifesaver for me! (I love italian...haha)
  12. Try eating more slowly with smaller bites. It's a fact of life after surgery that just a little bit of food past our capacity will take us from feeling fine to feeling like garbage. Take your time, and let the cues that you're getting full have a chance to show up before you overeat. You'll become accustomed to what your cues feel like

    Periods !

I think our cycle does get affected between the surgery and the major weight loss. Mine has actually been more regular since the surgery--2 periods relatively on time, and that rarely happens for me!

    Goal weight

Yep, I picked the upper limit of my normal BMI as a "goal", but I'm honestly not worried about it. As long as I'm living a healthy lifestyle, look decent, and feel good, I'll be happy wherever I stabilize.

All I can do is sleep

Two days after major surgery, you're going to be sleepy Give it a week or so, and you'll start to feel your energy coming back. It may not be back to full until a couple weeks from now, but it'll come.

    What is wrong with me??

Some people don't have problems getting their intake, and it sounds like you're lucky enough not to be having them. I'm sure at least some of your hunger is head hunger, craving some things you see and what not. And some of it is real hunger, and that's when you have something to eat. It's not abnormal, and you're doing the right things. Don't worry too much
  17. I think for many of us, therapy is an essential part of our weight loss journey. For me, a lot of the eating I did was tied to my emotions. The emotional eating plus my endocrine issues are really what put me over the top weight wise. I think having someone to process with on a regular basis is going to do you a lot of good when it comes to this major lifestyle change. I wish you luck
  18. I made this mistake too! I was lucky enough to catch it before I drank it, but not before I wasted the money on it
  19. I took just a 3 hour trip 2 weeks out, and I was not happy. I managed, but it wasn't fun. I'd leave this one to your husband if possible.

    Anyone else have this?

It can be tricky transitioning back to food. You may need to eat more slowly, and with smaller bites than you anticipated. Just a little bit over the edge can send one of us into the ugly froth zone. Take your time, get the small bite as liquidy in your mouth as you can, and wait a while before the next one. Good luck
  21. 12 hours of work one week after surgery could be a lot. I went back to work 5 days after surgery, but my shift is considerably shorter and I'm not on my feet the way a nurse is. I think you'd be best off taking the 3 weeks you planned on, and getting plenty of recovery time while you adjust. You'll be walking as much as you can, so that'll prepare you for the long shift when you do go back. That's my humble opinion
  22. I haven't eaten out very much, but I've had soup every single time. It's not worth it for me to try to order more. I'm with you guys--it's just not enjoyable at this stage. But I know I should take advantage of that while it lasts!

    Wendys Chili

I was able to eat half a small Wendy's chili, chewed very well, at about 6 weeks postop. The key is definitely chewing to puree consistency. It's quite convenient and tastes nice, so I recommend it
  24. I had that for a couple of weeks, and then struggled with some hiccups after that, but it did subside Hopefully the same will happen for you. Keep being careful.

    Shoulder and Diaphragm Pain

Although deep breathing hurt, it did clear some of the pain up for me in the long run. As much walking as I could manage also helped. I think my shoulder pain mostly went away after the first week, but it did pop up a couple of times after that. It does subside
