  1. Feeling a little defeated. The first week of this diet, I had lost 8.4 lbs. Today I weighed in just to see how much I have lost so far and I only lost 2.4 lbs so far. I know I should be proud and not use the word "only", because that is still a huge step but I was hoping for more. I was hoping for the same success this week as in last. I should have known better, this always happens. It starts off strong and then decreases rapidly.

Well I still have 3 more days, so let's hope I can make a comeback this time around. B)

Water always comes off first, thus the big number. The smaller number is most likely fat, so that's always great news. Just keep doing what you're doing, but I'd encourage you to not be dependent on the scale! Numbers can really play with your head and feelings. Also, those numbers aren't accurate in he sense of telling you what your lean body mass index is, fat percentage, bone density, etc. it's just all combined. So who's to say that you didn't gain muscle instead? Please be mindful that all of your body is included in He number on the scale, not just fat.
