    Scheduling pre-op diet visits UHC

Oh, the time of the month does not matter. It is only matters that you went that month as scheduled. If you miss a month then it messes up your progress.

  4. You should be fine. As long as everything goes well with your surgery, you will be able to walk around. As @frust8 said to remember to drink lots of liquids and to take breaks when necessary. No need to be like a New Yorker trying to catch their connecting train lol.

    Water retention

Oh the dreaded stalls. I retain more with weight training & cardio. If I just do cardio, I have not problem losing. I think it is because we are gaining muscle. Our bodies hold onto water more to help heal and rejuvenate the muscles. By sticking with my current workout style, I have stalled a lot. Fluctuating between 3 - 5 lbs. On only cardio days, I lose a lot of weight but on weight training days, I gain that weight back. I have stopped focusing on my scale at this point and have been focusing on the inches and fat loss. I see a huge change in my body, flexibility, mobility, strength, and stamina.
  6. I am in Love with myself right now.

There is soo many times I felt like giving up and just saying F*** it. I will never lose any more weight or get rid of all of this fat. I am soo glad that I did not. I took this picture after a work out on Friday and I have to say "Dammmmnnn Gina" lol. I am coming together so nicely. I may not need to spend that much money on stomach after all lol. I am soo excited to keep this going. I cannot wait to see what I look like in 6 more months. This year has been amazing. My Ab is starting to come in too.

    Overdid Fluids - Problem?

Stretching the sleeve is not the problem. Busting the Staple line or creating a leak is. The best thing to do is drink from a smaller cup or put smaller amounts of water in the cup. There are patients who can drink large amounts of water at a time. Remember not every sleeve is the same. However, you are still fresh out and now is not the time to be putting pressure on your sleeve.
  12. Wow, I am sorry to hear that. Well although the experience was not a pleasant one, at least you are in good health!!

    Carbs per Day?

Less than 20g. That includes the carbs located in your protein shakes.

    Question about shakes

Yeah, I would feel really thirsty after drinking one. I think its due to the protein. I just wait 30 minutes and then drink water.

    4 week liquid diet...

I only had to do two weeks of the diet and my first 3 days was the hardest. It will most likely be the hardest for you too. However, after that hump, you get used to the diet. A little trick I did was add vinegar to my veggies with some pepper to give it a little kick. It was like there was meat there lol.

    Question about shakes

Hmmm. That is a good question. I believe they only apply towards Protein. I could be wrong though. I only apply them to Protein as they make me feel dehydrated at times.

    Me and food

Unfortunately, we have to change our relationship with food. This will happen over the course of the year. I used to use junk food to comfort me. It was my go to when I was in my feelings. Every now and again, I want to just binge but I do not. I hit the gym instead. I now view food as a source to energize my body, to help me achieve my workout goals. By doing that, I have a better control over my relationship with it. Now Eat to Live and Live to Eat.

    How Many Carbs Per Day

The goal for calories is based on your body type and the amount of exercise you do. I reach for the following (Add that I do a lot of lifting): 1) 30g Carbs 2) 126g Protein 3) 52g of Fats I use MyFitnessPal to track my macros. It gives me a good idea of where I stand each day.
