  1. I hope this isn't insensitive, and I'm aware it's a constant question on these boards, but how well did your skin bounce back?
We're about the same starting weight and I'm unreasonably obsessed about what my body will look like.
Congratulations on your success! You look amazing and it's even better that you FEEL amazing. [emoji122] [emoji122] [emoji122]

So far my skin isn’t too bad. A little loose in my lower tummy, inner thighs, and my underarm area. If I worked out more it would be better but I’m lazy and don’t make it to the gym as often as i would like.

  2. I want to know how you feel ? You look amazing. Your confidence must be at 100 knowing how amazing you look is it hard being humble knowing how far you have come and seeing how people may have changed how they are towards you ? In all honesty I'm feeling myself since the weightloss lol sometimes. Sometimes I don't believe my body is mine. Yours is such a huge transformation. Amazing.

I feel pretty good most of the time. I have noticed people seem to be more respectful towards me which makes me a little sad thinking back to how it used to be. I still have a hard time taking compliments. I also have to constantly remind myself that I’m not 306 pounds anymore. That I can fit between cars without turning or having to go around.
Then there’s times when I feel on top of the world. I walk around like I own the damn place ya know?

  3. That is so inspiring. I am a 24 right now and 2 weeks post op. Any favorite foods or tips?

Favorite foods would be fresh fruit and veggies. They go down really easily and they don't sit heavily on my pouch. Low fat turkey chilli Is another favorite of mine. Add a little shredded cheese and bam super yummy and full of Protein. Never again will I eat pudding or Soup unless I absolutely have to.
Tips? Do not get discouraged. After I had my surgery I had instant buyers remorse. I missed food. I actually had a full blown crying break down in a rite aide because they didn't make sugar free ice cream... now though I cannot imagine my life and diet any differently. Yes I miss cheeseburgers and pizza, but I do not miss being 306 pounds.
Ice chips will be your bff for a while. It helped satisfy my desire to chew and have some crunch in my mouth and helped me stay hydrated.
Walk, walk, walk. Always walk. It helps you digest, helps relieve gas pain, and you'll lose so much faster.

  4. That's amazing progress for such a short amount of time. What was you guys' regimen if you don't mind me asking. I can't seem to stay on track lately and i want to keep losing. Its coming off so slow now. So frustrating.

Honestly I pretty much eat whatever. I try to stick to healthy stuff but no ones perfect. I need to get back in the gym more often. I'm just so tired after work it's hard to want to go. It also doesn't help that I work with a lot of really friendly Indian ladies that always have super yummy food to share.

  5. So I have my intro seminar scheduled for Aug 4th, and I am just wondering if anyone has insight to how long the process will take before I can get my surgery date? I have decided to do my surgery at the Fremont Kaiser Hospital if all goes well with intro seminar. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

I had my RNY done at Fremont kaiser! Dr Dutta is amazing. Super laid back and easy to talk to. The longest part of the process for me was waiting for the classes. I'd say it took about 4 months.

  6. I was doing the same thing before my rny 2 weeks ago. I got it under control by committing to 2 Protein Shakes a day and a sensible ish dinner. It was good practice. Post op, I'm currently trying to find a good stress reliever that isn't food.

I only have a week left before my surgery now and my insurance is being a total pain in the ass. I've been doing better with the eating and whatnot but the stress is intense.

As for a stress reliever that isn't food, I have an emotional support dog. He is seriously the best thing in my life. Maybe you need some puppy love to help with your stress?
