  1. I'm going for my monthly weightloss appointments. In 2015 my Dr documented my height at 5'4' my BMI was 41, then in 2016 my Dr documented me at 5'5 still with a BMI of 41. If they used my height as 5'5 in 2015 it would have dropped my BMI to 39. I don't have any comorbities. Should I be concerned, my surgeon measured me at 5'4, and so did my new doctor. My Drs office doesn't think it's going to be an issue.

    Height differences

I don't barely meet the criteria that was in 2015 nearly two years ago, and at that point I had lost 30 pounds which I quickly gained back. I weigh between 260-265. My feet hurt all the time, and my cholesterol was a litte high when I had my last blood work. I can't show proof for three years, because it hasn't been high that long. I have migraines all the time which my doctor thinks weight is a big contributor. I just keep gaining, and I am ready to feel better. I have struggled with my weight for 10 years now. I understand the complications, but I have three children that I want to be here for. At the rate I'm going my health is going to deteriorate fast. My BMI is about 44 now.

Slipped up on pre op diet

I think it's best to let them know. I think it's not the losing weight before it's something to do with your liver. Be honest your health is at stake.

    Height and BMI Discrepancies

I have the same problem, my height is 5'4, but some records show 5'5, my surgeon's office said it shouldn't be an issue.

I've had my gallbladder out too, and so much less pain than tonsillectomy. The sleeve should be a breeze, lol.. Sent from my LGLS775 using BariatricPal mobile app

I am 4 months into my weightless appointments. I go for my sleep apnea test on the 15th of March, and that will be everything finished except seeing a nutritionist. I'm getting excited, but nervous too. I have been overweight for the last 10 years, and I am so tired of letting weight control my life. I have heard so many horror stories about this surgery. How did you all do? Is there an amount of weight they want you to loose before surgery. Sent from my LGLS775 using the BariatricPal App

I was 27 when I had my tonsillectomy, I thought I was gonna die, lol. I deal well with pain, no pain meds with any of my csections, but I took my meds every 4 hours when I had my tonsillectomy, lol... I know I will feel so much better, my feet hurt all the time now... Breast reduction wasn't painful I would have 10 of them before having a tonsillectomy again, lol. I was a size H, and went to a Full C. Sent from my LGLS775 using the BariatricPal App

I have had a breast reduction, tonsillectomy, 3 csections, gallbladder removed, cyst removed from my foot, and I have always done well too. I bet the hip surgery was the worst. I have gained all of the 95 pounds back, uggg. I know I need this tool to help keep it off. I'm going to take your advice, and not look at anymore stories, lol.. I know we both are going to do great. Congratulations to you too. August will be here before you know it. My last weigh in will be May 5th. I lost 95 pounds a few years ago, and felt fabulous. I had to spend 4 hours a day in the gym, and that was no kind of life. I just need this surgery so bad. I need to stay off the internet looking at horrible stories. My main thing is thinking what if I have this surgery, and then leave my girls with no mom? That is so scary. Sent from my LGLS775 using the BariatricPal App
