Geez, who f***** cares by now.....it is a dead horse. I am editing to add: I dont mean "who cares if you go". I want you to stay here, you seem like a great person and we need that on lbt. I meant "who cares" about all the nasty threads, the threads about the nasty threads, the whole mess. I have been away from this board for almost 2 months and came back hoping this had all settled down and gone away by now....and I find it is as bad as ever. I need the support and motivation I get from this site. I am not leaving...but I will CHOOSE to not become involved any of the negative threads in any way. Take a break if you need to Amy, but dont leave for good.

176 lbs. Officially down 53 lbs in 10 months. I am very happy with the progress....It seems a little slow at times but I still have all my hair...lol. I am not having any problems with sagging or loose skin, etc... I am very happy and healthy AND IT SHOWS!!!!

I am 5' 4" and 145lbs would have my BMI at 24.9. So I chose that for a goal simply because it puts me (barely) in the "normal" BMI range. I think anything under 150 was my original goal. And anything under 150 will make me happy. However, I weighed 125-130 all through high school and through most of my 20s, so once I reach 145 I may want to lose a little more. I think we all see our goals as somewhat flexible. I am pretty happy with where I am at now, lol... I feel like everything from here on down will just get better and better!

Aug. 8 179!!!! I am down 50 lbs! I feel like shouting from the rooftops, lol. That little fill I had last week (from 2.1cc to 2.4cc) has made a huge difference. I can still eat all foods but the hunger and portions are back under control. I also wonder if the fact that my doctor put me back on Metformin is helping. I have done the slow loss and stalls the entire 2 month I had stopped taking it. My last A1C was not that great and I have been back on the Met for 2 weeks. I dont care why....I am back rolling with weight loss. I was 183 the day I got my fill, I dont think I have ever lost 4 lbs in one week during this entire process!!! I am so happy! Aug. 5 181 lbs. I am down 48 lbs. It has been coming off slowly for the last couple of months, but it is still coming off. I got a tiny fill Tuesday, it seems to be helping. I havent been visiting here much since I have been off for summer break, having too much fun doing stuff outdoors and with friends. John and I have been really good about getting in our 45 minute walks this summer. Even though the weight is coming off slower now, see such a change in my body. I think the walking has done major good for my legs and butt, lol!....... All the bicep and tricep work has my arms looking great. I am really pleased with my progress and feeling so good physically!!!!!!

If you are having reflux at night you probably need an unfill. I dont know any docs in that area. In the meantime try taking some Pepsid or some OTC acid blocker. Hopefully someone else can chime in with some better or additional advice!

I will end up the slowest loser in this challenge! We took a weekend trip to Fredricksburg, TX and I was fairly good. This past week I spent a week in Oklahoma with my best girlfriend of 23 years and the whole week was about being at the lake, in the pool, and BBQing!!! My whole month feels like it has been about traveling, eating on the run, and drinking way too much!!! I think I am down 3-4 lbs for the entire month, lol. I am truly hoping I can drop another 2 before the end of this challenge. I am in desperate need of a fill, I was able to drink several fabulous German beers in Fredericksburg with no discomfort at all...and I not even restricted at breakfast anymore! I will almost be glad when I go back to work to get a schedule going again! I have 2 weeks of summer left....then back to the grindstone, hopefully with a fill!!!

I am a day late posting, but we have been out of town and I have tons of catching up to do! I need to go check out the before and after threads and see the new pics! I swore I would post some at -50lbs.....and that is getting close (although it will take me 3 weeks to lose 3 lbs at my recent rate, lmao!) If it isnt too late to update, I will post my current stats. C182 (-47 total, -1 this week)

Nykee!!!! I been missing you too girl! It sucks to slip or fall off of the diet bandwagon, but glad to see you hopping back on! I notice you are drinking WATER daily!.!.!....that is how you make changes, just take baby steps. Keep with it! I know that you post this for YOUR OWN benefit, but it does help others to see that this can still be a major struggle for some of us. As always I applaud your honesty and I am loving how positive and upbeat you sound!

Dang.......ok, I am in here, lol. I am pretty sure I feel left out because I dont post so often, but that is my fault.
-
Dang.........there is obviously a loop here..........and I am out of it. Is there a way to get back in?
-
You are definitely too tight. Have you arranged for an unfill yet? BTW, 1.8ccs is very agressive for a first fill!
-
ROFL!!!! I MUST go see it now!

I am a 6th grade teacher! Love it, Love it! This first year will be your biggest challenge, I remember the first year I felt like someone had broken my rose colored glasses, lol. There is an overwhelming amount of paperwork, protocols, and preparation to get used to. I relied heavily on my mentor teacher the first year....they truly have the best understanding of "the way things are done" on your campus and within the district. The one thing I would never do is provide my home telephone number. I make and return all calls during my conference time. If a parent cannot take calls during daytime hours I get their number and call them during the evening. That is my personal MO.....I find that I need my home and family time to be just that, MY time. Good luck with your career switch! Teaching is a very stressful but highly rewarding job!

Poll: Howzit working for you?
lianna replied to GeezerSue's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I have gone from 39.3 to 31.6. I am getting close to being just "overweight" and out of the obese catagories!!! -
Another Dr. Sanchez patient here. I paid $8000 last October. He is an excellent surgeon and I am a very satisfied patient, lol.

Sherrijo.......amy........welcome To Bandland!!

Congratulations!!! A size 8/10.....I can imagine how good that makes you feel! I am giving a shoutout too....Pictures!! Pictures!! LOL! Make them before and after pics!

I dont know if they get smaller or what. I will be interested the replies to this. I was under the impression that anywhere you have stretch marks would be the most problemsome areas of loose skin after weight loss. Makes sense, since the skin has already stretched to the point of tearing that it would have lost some elasticity. Maybe someone else can give better or more definitive answers.

PNut......now I dont know whether to feel relieved or worried, lol!

I am so glad that there was some justice done in all this mess. It makes my heart lighter to know that the drunk idiot will have to pay for your medical and dental expenses! Post those pictures, now I am curious to see what was done to you! Hope you heal up quickly and painlessly!

Sometimes the changes come about slowly. It took me several fills before the physical hunger was under control......and then it becomes MUCH easier to battle the head hunger. The cravings will go away, for the most part, lol. (I truly think that even skinny health conscious people have days where they make poor choices regarding foods/amounts, so it is not abnormal even well into this to have a day like that.) I remember feeling the exact same way shortly into this, but the pain WILL go away and you will start losing! Hang in there and dont pay any attention to the naysayers!
