  1. I just spoke to my NUT on friday about this very thing. I am at 7 weeks out and down 30 lbs. She told me I should still be getting my Water and Protein in and eating 800-1000 calories and no more than 100g of carbs. Carbs should be coming mainly from fruits and vegetables. Less than this will create stalls because the body will think it is being starved. As you progress the calorie intake should gradually increase. My energy was almost nil untilI started increasing my calories.

  2. I've lost the most weight in my arms and legs. About 20 lbs since surgery 3 weeks ago. I'm currently in a frustrating stall. Anyway, I also feel like my stomach hasn't shrunk. It's hard to tell because I have a hernia I can't treat till my BMI is below 30. Maybe you're like me where abdominal fat is the last to go.

My surgery was 8/23. I'm still on soft foods till 9/28. I eat about 6 oz (sometimes less because of my begging dog and don't always finish) and like 3 oz for Snacks. Seems to be more than most but it's what works for me. At this stage I hear people eating tablespoons at a time and I just can't believe it. Told my surgeon I'm convinced he left my stomach too big.

You sound like me my surgery was 8/14 and I have gradually increased my food intake to 6 oz meals and 3 oz snacks as well. I was hungry all the time and that helped. But my belly is not budging. I walk about 1 1/2 miles a day and am sticking to what is on my soft food list, and getting my Protein and Water in most of the time. I still feel tired a lot and don't have the energy I was hoping for. This 2 week stall I am in is so frustrating.

  3. I am 5 weeks out and in a 2 week stall have lost 27 lbs since pre-op diet. I am pleased with the weight loss so far and I have noticed some body changes in mainly my legs. I still have a big belly bloat and have not gone into any smaller sizes in anything. You would think at 27 kbs less I would at least be down 1 sz, so frustrating, just venting. Also at this stage how many ounces is everyone eating with each meal.

  4. I lost 20 pounds just from my pre-surgery diet which started on Aug. 8th. Then after my surgery on Aug. 16th I gained like 10 lbs while in the hospital from all the IV fluids. That's all gone now and I'm down 27 lbs from my starting weight on Aug. 8th.

My surgery was Aug. 14th and I am right with you 27 lbs from my pre-op to now. I was stalled all of my 3rd week but starting to lose again in the last few days. Really hard getting all my Water and Protein in even though I haven't experienced any problems with anything I am eating, it is just a lot to take in. I did just increase my meals from 4 oz to 6 oz because I seemed hungry all the time. I think that got my stall moving.

  5. I am almost 4 weeks post op and am curious about how many ounces everyone is eating at this stage. I have no problems eating or drinking and eat 4 to 5 small meals at 2-4 ounces a day plus at least 1 Protein Shake. Drink my Water and find the crystal lite squirt flavoring helps. I don't concern myself with calories right now and just focus on my Protein and water intake. But I feel hungry quite often and am in the 3 week stall, now I wonder if I am taking in to many ounces or not enough. I have lost 25 #'s from pre op to date and am on soft foods.
