  1. I would like to see each other and chat sometime. Not clear on others schedules or place. But San Jose somewhere it sounds like? Let me know if anyone has ideas on how

Yes! Maybe we can do a meet up at a park or a Starbucks? (My dr doesn't allow coffee but I can get a tea!) I'm open Monday thru Friday from 4-7 in the San Jose area and during the weekends since I live in Hayward I'm open to meeting in Fremont or Milpitas. Also I created and instagram page just in case that is easier for everyone to message : Sasha.thesleeve

  2. Day 6 of Post Op!! My mom left on Saturday night but luckily now I can get out of bed by myself and sit on the toilet with no help! Yesterday was a hard day getting in my liquids (33oz total)
I think Sasha (my sleeve) is not a fan of milk products Bc eating yogurt, cottage cheese, milk muscle or Premier Protein is really hard and it causes a lot of
Burping. Today I've been focusing on zipping some Water every 15mins! As for pain...still present but not debilitating.

I hope all the post-ops are feeling better today! And preops good luck!

  3. Good morning! Good luck today! Hope it is a smooth ride for all of us!! I'll try to check in as soon as I am able (conscious) and wowwwww! What a journey it has been for you... you have def. persevered so much! I hope this tool gives you more opportunities to have better 3rd quarter!

  4. Well, good luck and stay in touch. Your Bio doesn't say much. What part of the country are you located? Are you funny about revealing too much online? I understand and get it. This is my first time ever on one of these types of "bloggy threads"..., not sure what you call it. Anyway, how much weight do you want to loose? Do you have children? All the nosey questions.... LOL!

Lol! So many questions! And yes I'm actually a secret sleever but to give you a little bit: no kids, I want to be around 170-160 currently at 260 and I'm in NorCal. What about you?

  5. I know, right! My identical twin 16 year old daughters are just as excited because they have been hearing my rant for a long time! Do you anticipate surgery on Wednesday?
    ^^

Yes! I am schedule for Wednesday but the office is supposed to call me with details on when they want me to check in and exactly the time I'll have it

  6. July 12th..., can't come soon enough!!! What a journey this has been and where it's going....!

Yes!!! I can't wait! I actually had a very stressful weekend due to car issues and I'm just waiting for the dealership to give me my quote and for the RN to call me to let me know when they want me to go to the hospital and the time of my actual surgery! So over it lol

  7. I was sleeved yesterday with Dr. Ariel Ortiz in Tijuana. I'm amazed at how good I feel. The only thing is that I am extremely tired. Came back to the hotel today and slept most of the day. I will have to force myself to get some broth from the restaurant. I go back to the center tomorrow for the leak test, and then head home on Saturday. I am only planning on taking 3 days off work when I get back. So from surgery start to heading back to work will be one week . Just no heavy lifting, which should not be a problem.

Thank you so much for the update! Hope you feel better as the days pass!

  8. Well I'm in my clinic room with Netflix for the evening, we go back at 7am tomorrow to our hotel.. surgery was surgery, I kind of slept through the whole thing. I didn't wake up in an ICU so I'm assuming in went good. I have been walking the hall lots hoping the gas pain in my abdomen goes away. I've been given ice chips and Water and electrolite water and unfortunately everything that's passed my lips makes my stomach really hurt, hoping that'll pass by the evening. The staff are great, and the other patients in the clinic are so awesome..

I'm sooo happy for you!! Can't wait to join you!

  9. I only took 8 (business) days off too. I figured that with two weekend should be enough. I only was off 3 days after my hysterectomy and I'm figuring this may be similar? But I did fill out my short-term disability in case there was any complications. But my doctor told me most people feel pretty good after a week. But everybody's different and have different pain tolerances.

Sent from my SM-G930V using BariatricPal mobile app

I'm hoping for that that too!

  10. I'm a teacher so I go back to work on the 28th. I have heard of people being back in less than a week.

Yes! I heard that too! I'm nervous about my commute but I can't take anymore days off! Good luck with your surgery and hope going back to work won't be hard for you.
