MoVSG17 got a reaction from ShelterDog64 in Extreme Fatigue/Disorientation
Thanks for replying. I do not use a CPAP. However, I've been having issues with taking in enough fluids, and I've only been able to keep down 1 Protein shake without getting sick. With ghe Fluid intake i try to do one 8 ounces of SMART Water with ice chips and then 8 ounces of G2 or Powerade Zero.
Im not on track for normal food intake either. I still havent been able to progress past full liquids without complications. -

That is good! The one thing I learned is to just always be honest and let them know when something is going on that isn't normal or seems off or is keeping you from meeting your daily nutrition goals. It can be rough in the beginning but just take it a day at a time and before you know it you will find your new "normal". I genuinely thought I would never eat again because I had a huge food aversion issue/nausea when I first started trying to eat again... but I went to the doctor a week or two later and found out I had a bad UTI, so got some antibiotics and all the nausea and dislike of food went away and I was able to start following my plan again (crazy huh?!). Probably about week 6 post-op is when I really started feeling good about things and was on full foods and able to get most of what I needed in. You got this just hang in there!

My doctor prescribed me heartburn meds, and from what I have read here and elsewhere heartburn is very common after surgery! So if you need to you might talk to your surgeon so that wont bug ya anymore But yes smart Water is great, the Powerade Zero's are good, even just crystal light flavored water. Hang in there and just do your best to make a conscious effort to drink slowly throughout the day and you will do just fine! Congrats!

I did self pay here in Louisiana. Thomas Borland in New Iberia. $9800. Heard a rumor that he was the cheapest in the United States. He only does VSG though. I was sleeved by him on 1/30/17. Doing great so far. Good luck! Sent from my LGLS775 using the BariatricPal App
