  1. Thanks I think I'm getting nervous as I'm heading down to the wire
  2. So do you regret the sleeve and wish you had bypass?
  3. After reading a few posts about Gerd I'm getting nervous about the sleeve vs bypass. I'd like honest answers regarding the sleeve and Gerd . I've had at different times in my life and it's been controlled by diet . Surgery in two weeks!
  4. The nutritionist set me up w chewable a that are billed from insurance and sent monthly . Depending on insurance company U pay a copay of 0 to $25. I think high quality vitamins for $25 month sent to your door is a bargain . I get calcium w vitamin d, iron w vitamin c, , multivitamin , and weekly vitamin b 12 spray . I do wonder why the need for so many vitamins down the line when the nutritionist told me that after a year I can expect to be eating around 1200cal a day .
  5. @anneelliot I really respect your honesty and I'm sorry you are having acid reflux ! I know that sucks s I have had it in the past. With almost three weeks till surgery I am tempted to try it in my own once again but then I reflect on the last ten years of a really valiant effort and find my BMI is up from 36 to 40? And there's so much I want to accomplish.
  6. @annelliot Was your experience that bad? did you have complications? everyone i know that is a hear post op can eat pretty much anything they want just less! im sure the first year is tough but i need to change.
  7. congrats! how long did it take for approval? waiting now ! surgery Mar 3. im so excited yet cautious till i get the approval .
  8. Wait! So if pre op is only clear liquids is that still for two weeks ? That would be tougher I think than anything else post op
  9. i start mine next Thursday for two weeks. five meals a day consiston of shakes bars and one meal of Protein and veggies
  10. Yup. Already done and home ! Now for the approval wait
  11. My final requirement for March 3 Surgery is an upper Gi. Sitting here waiting now despite the blizzard that's starting outside. Need this done so paperwork can be submitted for insurance approval. So close
  12. I've complete everything except Upper Gi which is tomorrow morn . My surgery is scheduled for MArch 3 so fingers crossed for insurance approval.
  13. What kind of Biotine should i get and when should i start taking and for how long?
  14. From Boston! Incredible parade today. Having Surgery Mar 3 at Brigham's. Wondering if any of you had Dr. Ali Tavakkoli?
  15. I can't wait to walk without chub rub I can't wait to have more energy I can't wait to downgrade my 6 piece bathing suit to a two piece I can't wait to have all the people who discouraged this decision to see me happy I can't wait to not feel like a failure
  16. I am just that! Getting sleeved March 3
  17. Getting nervous for Surgery less than a month away. If all goes well with no complications when do people start to feel themselves again minus the food changes? For example, when do you feel you can drink liquids normally, feel no pain, are less tired etc? I think I have this built up in my head that I'm going to be in severe paian for a month but then I read posts and people are exercising a month later. It gives me hope! I recently had a hysterectomy and felt good within two days but was just tired and felt great a month later. Why does this scare me so much when Ive been preparing for months?
  18. OMG! Thank you all for easing my anxiety Extremely nervous about surgery and really want to enjoy my family. Excited to have energy and feel better about myself. Can you go into pools, ocean three months post op?
  19. We have a cruise scheduled exactly three month post op. My son has been in another country for a couple of years and is coming back home for it and it has been planned for over a year. I will be three months post op. Should I be nervous of traveling so soon after? Can't really change date as it was hard to find a date that worked for the whole family. Should it be fine? I'm not nervous about the food as by then I should be able to find something that fits. Just have anxiety as it is first cruise. If all goes well, how should I be feeling by then?
  20. @wonderwoman...were you ever told to stop them prior to surgery ?
  21. My NUT set me up to order my Vitamins through insurance and I pay a copay. They were delivered today. Surgery not schedluled till March 3 and I haven't even been approved yet I was wondering if I could start taking these vitamins now as I just had surgery for a hysterectomy a month ago and i still have low energy. The next batch is set to be delivered beginning of March so I'll still have plenty. Couldn't hurt to start taking now right?
  22. What drink do they pay for? My nutrition set me up with a company so that my Vitamins are insured and sent monthly to my house. I just pay a co-pay. She didn't mention a drink?
  23. What about using fairlife milk? it has 15g of Protein. You could put in oatmeal?
