At six weeks out ? I'm preop so have no idea what to expect . I have friends who have had surgery and they told me i prob won't ever be able to eat pizza or bread like things again as they are tough to get down . Don't beat yourself up ! Just follow 90 percent and indulge 10 percent . If that was the 10 percent then your fine

Have you been told that you have to lose 10llb a short time before surgery?
Kate
No I wasn't told I had to lose weight I just figured that eating this way would naturally have me drop as its significantly lower cal than I have been eating for past several months

I had my surgery postponed due to a hysterectomy back in January but only ended up losing ten days . So they might just push it back a little . I'll be 8 weeks between surgeries

Day 3 of preop diet and constipated . Any one else have that ? Also worried cuz the large Anoubt of Protein doesn't seem to sit well with me . Why so much protein? My protein grams are at about 100 . Is that too much ?

Are you on the pre op diet ? I am and I'm hungry

Wow Amazing ! When you lost the 30 lbs did you ever think of not doing the sleeve ?
-
I'm March 2. Started pre op diet today! Still haven't got my insurance authorization but hoping its a go!

Day 1 and I'm a little hangry but one day closer ! As I came running in from work to get in my comfy pjs I realize that I can't wait to not just want to run home and put my pjs on! I can't wait to have the energy everyone talks about . When does the energy come I wonder .Today eating approximately 1000 calories w e trembly low carbs I'm not feeling energetic at all. I'm just wondering if post op you are eating even less , where does the energy come from ?

@shawnak911 What do you mean by with the sleeve they go back to constantly dieting? Isn't it the same with the bypass?
-
I know seltzer isn't allowed post op but can I have it on liquid pre-op? I'm day 1 and struggling and the carbonation usually fills me.

My nutritionist gave me a very detailed list of what I can eat the two weeks pre op. It consists basically of five meals a day and you pick something from each column until you have had your five meals. Two columns are basically shakes one column is specific Protein bar and I ther column is 4 oz lean Protein and veggies . The list is very specific on brand and quantity allowed . The same with post op up till day 50 only specific foods for each stage ie liquid, soft food mushy foods etc . Only eat what is listed nothing else
