I lost a bunch of weight (like 130lbs) then relocated to another state. Been pretty steady at that line since I've been here (but with exercising a lot - weightlifting mostly). Some people would notice (mostly exercise conscious people oddly). Lost another 40 or so before surgery, so a couple of people commented. My situation is odd though. Since I can work from home when I want, they don't see me in the office for big chunks of time (sometimes a week or two). So smaller changes would stand out more. I wouldn't worry about people noticing though. I'm actually planning on moving again maybe this year or the next. That group won't know any of what the last group (or the original group) new, lol.

At my heaviest I was 640. Over a couple of years (like 4) I got down to 510 then stalled. I started the surgery process, got down into the 470's for the surgery (1-23-17). Today I was 460. Trying to hit 230.

How do you handle people asking questions

"You wearing a wire?" "You writing a book?" "What do you plan on doing with that information?" These are a few of my favorites. Oddly, people will laugh, but I'm being serious. -
Trying to stay positive to complete the requirements

Don't let it get you down. You know what you're looking to accomplish and don't be diverted from your goal. My insurance wanted 6 months of preop dieting (2lbs a month). I went to all the required preop stuff (pulmonologist, cardiologist, psychologist, etc). Everything is set, until they realized they put the wrong dates on the Cardiologist clearances and it will expire before my surgery, start that over. Pushes surgery into new year AND new deductible. You still won't make me quit. Got the surgery done, last Monday, the 23rd! You've come farther than you think, just deciding to make the change, you can cover the rest of the ground. -
Looking for people that had their surgery on January 24th or close to it.

I've used it for awhile and never paid for the premium. You can still track all the food you eat and exercise so I didn't see the point. -

Hi Misty, I had my surgery, Monday the 23rd. Glad to help in any way I can. -
No problem! Any questions, let me know. I just had the surgery myself, but I can probably answer pre-op stuff. Sent from my Nexus 6P using the BariatricPal App

It seems like the starting weight would be the what you were as of your surgery. After reading through, the figure seems to be based on the surgery alone, what lifestyle changes (exercise, etc.) you make along with it will impact the figure. Like working on a car. I may strip out a bunch of weight to go faster, but I still have to do some work under the hood to win. Sent from my Nexus 6P using the BariatricPal App -
