I am sorry but I don't understand your anger. Nobody called you a failure. I would never call anyone a failure if you are talking to me. The statements made were not directed at anyone person at all as far as I understand it. A reason was given as to why many people experience regain with the sleeve. I am sure there are other reasons, but they don't make those facts any less true.
There are many threads on these forums about resetting the sleeve, or help to get back on track. A common theme is that eventually they let problem foods back into their diets, started snacking excessively, or grazing ... ect ect...
pointing out the pitfalls to people researching this surgery serves as a way to help them realize that they will need to be vigilant. It helps me realize and remember that I still need to make good choices and I can't expect that just because I had this surgery I am automatically home free from the possibility of slipping into old habits.

collagen Protein can be low quality...not very well digested or absorbed. (With the exception of the more expensive pre digested hydrolyzed collagen products) If you are going to use protein supplements, look for 100% whey isolate. Syntrax Nectar are usually well tolerated, taste decent and have dozens of flavors to choose from.
But at three months and on normal food you should be able to get most of your protein from real food.....eggs,chicken, beef, pork, seafood, fish, turkey, tofu, Greek yogurt (but read labels carefully since many have more carbs than protein), Beans, etc.. Have you tried protein bars? Quest and OH Yeah One have good nutritional profiles and can help curb your carb craving since they basically taste like candy bars. If you are already eating 1000 calories then make it 1000 calories of protein and you're golden.
if you are having a hard time with Water then try herbal teas (iced and hot), almond milk, low cal sports drinks, Vitamin water, lifewater, infused water, etc.

I am almost 3 months post op. I feel hungry all the time. My calorie goal is 600-800 a day but I've been closer to 900-1000. Carbs are definitely my weakness. I have a really hard time getting enough protein- sometimes I get really nauseated by meat and Protein powders make me vomit.
When I drink Water if I feel hungry it makes me nauseous.
My starting weight was 313 and I am now at 270. But I have been at 270 for about 2 weeks.

I use Great Lakes hydrolyzed collagen. I have Unjury as well, but the Great Lakes dissolves better and really has no taste. The unjury unflavored had a funky taste to me unless there are several tastes involved- like a fruit smoothie.

I am almost 3 months post op and I feel hungry a lot. I try really hard to be Protein heavy and avoid carbs, except for fruit.
Protein shakes make me vomit. I have found a protein supplement that actually is tasteless and fully dissolvable in all liquids, hot or cold- but it is only an additional 11 grams of protein.
Why do I feel hungry?! I feel so guilty because I keep ending my days around 900-1000 calories instead of 600-800.
I have plateaued in weight loss again. I started at 313 and I'm at 270 and have been for about 2 weeks.
I hope your reset goes well.

Net carbs 25 grams or less, you can subtract the Fiber.
It sounds like you are suffering from Gerd in addition to making bad food choices.

I'd get them below 25. I have kept mine below 20 for almost a year now. It has been key to my success.

The more carbs you eat the hungrier you are going to be. meat keeps you full.
Think of you sleeve as a muscle, if you don't exercise is won't work as well. So if you don't eat meat, you won't be able to eat meat.
900-1000 Calories are fine if you are under 25 grams of carbs a day, and exceeding your Protein goals
It also sounds like you could use a PPI if you aren't already taking one.

I am about 4 1/2 months out and can relate. The past couple of days I found myself craving certain foods and was grazing, which I haven't done before. I started to freak out too and started getting anxious. We both need to kick it into high gear and remember why we had the surgery. Today is going great and I know I need to track every morsel that goes into my mouth and eat via my plan. You can do it too. One day at a time. We are worth great health.

Keep up your Water, Protein, and Vitamins. I am only a month post-op but from the people I've talked to and the support groups I'm in, keeping your goals for the above make a huge difference. Water keeps your skin looking healthy and helps with the elasticity.

The most important thing is if you are healthy and feel good at 170-175, then start maintaining when you get to that point. You may lose more than that, but you can then tweak your food intake and liquid intake to bump it back up in healthy ways. This isn't solely what a BMI scale says, because every scale is different, and if we're honest, not even completely accurate. It's more of a way to estimate than anything else. A woman my height (5'7) and age (26) may be comfortable and look great at 120lbs.... I can't imagine being that small. If my body let's me drop down to that, I'd let myself just to see what it looks and feels like. But that's where if it didn't feel right to me, and I wasn't happy, then I'd change my diet to allow myself to gain weight back in a healthy way.
