katlzxdcj got a reaction from ElysiaDee in Clothes
I had the same issue except when I was gaining weight. I had all these smaller clothes that I loved. At first I kept them because I thought for sure id use them again one day. Boy was I wrong. I got rid of a little at a time. First the things I never really liked. And then the things that I did kinda like because I wasn't losing any weight. And finally I only had a few pieces left that I really really loved and hoped id fit again. But as time went on I eventually got rid of those too because it was just clutter at that point. I brought my clothes to goodwill.
Anyways, it's kinda hard to let go. But just know that you'll be getting even cuter clothes down the line!

That's why I want to have the surgery right now in my life. No kids, no spouse, just myself. I feel like my life will be much more fulfilling going forward with this tool to keep me in check and keep me healthy

Of course I'm glad the surgery is covered. Was just wondering if that's a common thing people see since nutrition is so vital to the whole bypass process.

katlzxdcj got a reaction from Chrisanna in Already sleeved question
I made the decision to keep my journey to myself and only a few close friends know about any of it. The process is hard enough already that I don't think I could take it if my family/coworkers/whoever gave me grief for my decision. They don't understand that chronically obese people spend their lives trying to be not obese. In time (when the weight loss is super obvious probably) I'll likely tell them.

I don't think I'd do anything differently. The thing I'm glad I did was follow my doctors orders to the letter, pre and post op.

katlzxdcj got a reaction from char3672 in Does taking Biotin before surgery reduce hair loss?
From what I understand Biotin doesn't prevent Hair loss or make your hair grow faster, but it does allow for new hair to come in healthier. So likely you'll still have hair loss but if you're on biotin it will come back healthy and pretty.

Uhm yea I realize that difference in lighting can change things, I'm not an idiot. What made me question it initially and apparently others as well is the amount of weight lost in 3 weeks. Because of that I looked closer and imo it looks like a different person. If you don't agree that's fine. If OP wants to defend herself she can. Calm down. Pharm, since you keep responding and your pic is visible in your profile, why don't you just put this to rest for good and show your before and after pics without the emojis. The card could belong to anyone so that's not really proof of anything (don't get upset...I am in forensics and am just sayin').
The thing about this site is like you said, we're supposed to be here to support one another. But we also have an ethical obligation to be honest with people who have fears and concerns about surgery. You may be an outlier but you may also be giving people false hope. No one is trying to take anything away from you. We are asking you to give us a real chance to Celebrate your accomplishment and understand that the discrepancies are not to hurt anyone here by being disingenious.
