  1. Sleeved mid June and currently down to 198 from pre-op weight of 260s. Pleased, but wanting to go further with exercise (Orange Theory/general low carb diet).@BatCap, I had the best experience with the surgery. Like getting my wisdom out. Was a breeze other than some gas pain and the initial shock of how little you can eat for the first little while. Now I am having regular (healthy) meals with friends and it's hardly noticeable. You got this!

I was sleeved in May. Pre-Op was in the 260’s also, but I am only down to 215. I guess I need to step up my game....

  2. Hey everyone! Sorry it’s been so long since I last posted.
I’ve been at a stall since Nov 20th. My loss is slow because I was not that big to begin with, but I’m starting to get concerned because my hunger has returned. Just in the last few weeks, I have been finding myself hungry a lot more than I have been since surgery in May.
I also have not been on the gym bandwagon as much as I should be. My goal is another 30lbs by 1 year and I feel like I’m not going to hit it.
Anyone else having these types of issues?

  3. Welcome PAguy. I think 50 lbs lost is great! Slow and steady wins the race. How has your journey been? Any issues for you?

Thanks so much! My journey has been good. The first week after was rough, but after that I've been feeling great. My problem is trying to get to the gym. I just don't have the energy to get there as much as I should. I know I need to make myself a priority, but that's easier said than done.
I'm also worried because the Holiday season is right around the corner and I don't want to fall into a rut.

  4. Im 5"10, started at 265 and I was 250 after pre op diet and had surgery on 5/17. I'm at 225 now and my ultimate goal is 180 also. I've been on away on vacation for the last few weeks and I know I have not been eating the way I should be. Not that I'm complaining about vacation. Lol

  5. I am in Bensalem which is north of Philadelphia.

I go to the gym 4 or 5 times a week and power walk for 30 min. I usually do about 2 miles. It's not a lot, but at least it's something. Since my surgery on 5/17 I am only down about 25lbs. 40 total since I started the 10 day pre liquid diet.

I have been slacking though because I took 2 weeks of vacations to the beach this month.

I think 17lbs if you have not been working out is great!

  6. Hey guys, I am doing well. 3 weeks post op tomorrow and I am down almost 35lbs and I am at 231lbs now. Still trying to figure out how to eat properly, but so far I am very happy with the results. The first 2 weeks were really rough and I hope to NEVER have to go through that again. lol.

1 month until I go to Rehoboth Beach, DE with my friends for 4th of July week. I gotta put in a lot of work before then! :) Maybe i'll post some pics from the beach if my speedo looks good. hahaha

  7. Hi everyone, I'm one week post op from the sleeve surgery and I feel awful!

My first stage post-op was one week Clear Liquids only....

No Protein, no Vitamins, nothing! Just clear liquids. Needless to say I've been miserable since I got home. I'm lightheaded, dizzy, lethargic, irritable, etc. (my poor husband).

Today I started stage 2 which is full liquids. I had 2 Protein Shakes, a yogurt shake and of course Water. I was hoping I would feel better now that I'm getting nutrients again, but I still feel the same.

To top it all off, I've had terrible diarrhea since I got home. I mean crampingly bad. My a** is legit sore from it.

PLEASE tell me this gets better? I'm about to spiral out into a serious depression.

@PAguy Good luck!!! I would suggest taking several before pictures.

Thanks, I get sleeved tomorrow! I am excited and freaked out at the same time. Mostly because I have had a cold the last few days and it seems to have gone into my chest now. Hoping they still go through with it. Also, I did take some before pics.

I can't wait until the after! I've already lost 15lbs from the 10 day liquid diet. :)
