  1. Just curious to see who's out there that has used Dr. Monash in Tucson, AZ. What did you think about him? I personally love him! I think he's an awesome dr. and super attentive!!
  2. My sex life has improved ten fold. I'm still not totally comfortable with myself but I'm gettin there. Nessa I didnt notice a change until I'd lost about 50 pounds, so maybe your's just hasn't hit yet? Mine came just like all of the sudden I felt like having sex again, being playful and flirty and I actually feel sexy now. It's bazzar but oh so wonderful. SMS sorry hun. I wish I could offer words of wisdom.
  3. Don't let people deter you from what you think is right for your body. I'm 24 and people gave me so much crap for considering surgery and now when i tell said people about how much i've lost they say things like of course you're losing weight you eat less than your baby. I just let it roll. I got upset/hurt about it before but I don't care anymore. I'm just happy I decided to not spend the rest of my life fat and unhappy. I want my kids to have a healthy outlook on life and good body images, kwim? Side note: DH and I got married when I was 19 he was 20. Saturday is our 5 year anniversary. and he's been in the Navy for 2.5 years. =)
  4. the seminar is just going to help speed things up with your surgeon. Tricare doesn't require that you go to the seminar, at least I didnt have to go.
  5. I was tricare prime and got approved with no co-morbs. good luck and keep us posted!!
  6. I was banded June 16th. I haven't had one single issue. No throwing up, no PB'ing, no gas. nothin. I swear if it weren't for my restriction I'd think the doctor forgot to put the band in me! This really has been so much better than I ever imagined. Now don't let that get your hopes up. Everyone reacts totally different, so if you have problems don't fret!
  7. good luck!!! Like the others said this will all be a distant memory soon enough! and congrats on bein banded!!!!!
  8. I'm down for Vegas!!! I don't gamble but there sure is alot of fun to be had doin other stuff.....IE riding roller coasters and fitting in the seats!!!! That'll be exciting!!!
  9. had my second fill yesterday. I asked what size my band is and I too am a 10cc band. He said that I am now up to 5cc's in there. Hopefully this restriction will last longer! I've lost 4 pounds in 2 weeks, and I'm ok with that. Not thrilled but it's been a rough 2 weeks and I've not been eating and working out like I should. So back to workouts today and back to eating right! Hopefully by the next time I go in I'll have lost more!
  10. thought I'd come in and introduce myself!! My name is Jenn, married to Sean for almost 5 years (Nov. 29th) We have 2 babies, James is 3 and Sophie is 8.5 months. DH is in the Navy, has been in for 2 years. Doesn't like it at all though! He's not doin the job he signed up for, so he's not a happy camper! Although he does love the military and will undoubtedly re-enlist. I live with my in-laws right now, as DH is getting ready to leave on a deployment. We are in a pretty small ward, and very few young families here, but oh well right?! What can ya do??? Nice to "meet" all of ya!
  11. i hope everything went well for you!!
  12. cool thanks for the link!!
  13. Before kids hubby and I would always play spiritual games. We played "life". DH created a Life like board, but it had spiritual things on it. Such as when you have to get married he made it so that we had to share one thing about our wedding day. Then things like read such and such scripture. The ones where you were in "trouble" he put things like talk to your bishop, or you need to go pray and ask for forgiveness. I wish that we still had it now, because I'm sure the kids would like to play it. I'll have to look and see if I have any pictures of it.
  14. hooray!!! congrats!!
  15. I finally got one!!! I watched my craigslist like a hawk and finally someone was selling it for only $10 bucks more, so I was like ok I need to get that. I was the first person to email her about it, so thank heavens! So we've had it for 2 days now and LOVE it! It's awesome and def a good workout for me! The yoga stuff is pretty hard right now, as well as some of the balance games.
  16. eegads! thats scary! I'll have to look into it and talk to my doctor about it. my sister has one, so I'll ask her questions too.
  17. awesome!! thank you! I was gonna use my moms surgeon but he moved to San Diego and charges twice as much now. I'll def check him out!
  18. Maggies its usually only a couple days. You can go online to check the status too. Also a person from Tricare usually gives you a call too. Keep us posted!!
  19. I'd def have it done! I'm all about looking my best, and if I think boobies would help me look better than why not?! DH loves what I've got now, and since they are already shrinking I'm pretty sure I'll have to endure the pain to make us both happy! My mom and MIL had it done, and neither of them were in too much pain, so I'm not very scared about having that done. Now the TT, that I'm worried about. If i need it I'll have it. I dont need to look perfect but if there's too much there it's gonna have to go away!
  20. I use tampons and the instead cups. My MIL told me about the cups, and they are great, but I still am not 100% sure about using them at night. I love Playtex, thats what I used growing up, so thats what I'm used to! The only issue I've had with the cup is that I forget that it's there and then have to rush to the bathroom! eek! lol! i'd love to go have an iud put in or something. DH is deployed and we're pretty sure we're done having kids, but he hasn't gotten to spend more than 3 weeks with his daughter yet, so he wants to wait to get a Vas. just in case. ugh!
  21. SOB!!! I have gone 18 months with no period (had a baby 8 months ago and nursed her until last month) but still. damnit! No one throw sticks at me, but I'm not having any cramping, but I never have. But it's been a week of this bs and having to go every 45 mins to change. It sucks! I can't cry too much but wtf?! I've never had regular periods because I've always been overweight, but usually they lasted 2-3 days and wasn't too too heavy. Now it's like my body is trying to make up for lost time! One year I only had 2 periods, but it was nothing compared to this! freakin A if it doesn't stop soon I'm gonna pull my hair out!
  22. I've started walking everynight except 1 night of the week. I know I need to do more, but for now tihs is a good start for me. I HATE exercise, loathe it really. But I do not want a whole ton of loose skin, so I'm doing it. It sucks, but eventually I'll get into a routine and enjoy the nice fresh air. Plus my babies love it. I know its hard to get out and do something, my husband is deployed so I don't have anyone to take care of my babies for me, so thats why I take them with me. Just make an effort, and start slow. You can do it!
