I was sleeved on the 11th and try to minimize my drinking while eating or around eating but I can't do it. I am not meeting my Protein or Water requirements either so if my body wants a drink I do it. Probably not the best way to go about it but it seems to still be working for me.

My Dr cleared me from liquid to puree and puree to mashed/soft about 4 days early each time. Just call your Dr and ask. The worst thing they say is no.

I took off 6 day and I have an office job. I wish I would have taken the two weeks. I ended up working half days and hating it. You just end up being so tired.

I did. It ended up being like 16,500. My insurance wouldn't cover it. They did cover my labs, meds and ekgs.

Sadly I think you can only be supportive as much as you can but she is an adult and going to do whatever she wants to. Hopefully when you are handling yours she will pick up some better habits. Good luck.

I had stage one 2 days of Clear Liquids. Stage 2 one week of liquids and stage 3 is one week puree and stage 4 is two weeks of soft foods. My Dr allowed me to move to stage 3 early.

My Dr said Miralax and okay Fiber gummies. My Dr is not a fan of milk of magnesia. Two fiber gummies at night and all is well. And I am 9 days post op.

I have this problem. Like we should have IHOP for dinner because pancakes sound good but I wasn't hungry. I had to stop and ask myself am I thinking and wanting this food out of habit or because I am hungry. 100% of the time when I wanted stuff like that it was because of habit versus when I was like I should have Protein because I haven't had any in so many hours. You will figure it out, you just have to stop and ask yourself some questions.

My sister is going through them. They are making her do all these appointments that seem to set it up to be that long. She called 3 times a week and got on cancelation list and ended up getting everything she needed done in a month. Just be proactive and stay on top of them if you want to speed up the process.

I use an ice pack on my incisions once or twice a day and it has really helped with my pain.

I did meat and cheese only basically. I had to stay under 40 carbs a day and be careful because veggies have carbs if you have a budget.

What is everyone using to prevent hair loss? I had surgery on the 11th and I already have thin hair so I want to do all I can to prevent this now. Any tips on Vitamins or shampoos would be great! Thanks
